The main problem I have with this is Xander's well documented phobia of clowns. He would be unlikely to choose the Clown Prince of Crime, on the other hand if he did he would be a kick ass Joker!

Hence the 'lack of options'. It's perfectly in character for Xander to take things to an extreme when he has no other choice - look at his bandito outfit.
As for Harmony... it beat the hell out of my first choice - Dawn. I'm not that much of a sadist.

You would think Harmony would have been absolutely mortified after seeing or hearing that Xander is dressed as the Joker and would have changed it. I'm sure Cordelia would have ripped into her if she knew Harm had gotten a costume at Ethan's rather than Partytown like she did. Should have stuck with Dawn.
Other than that, it's a great story. A little short but interesting. I hope to see more.

It might have been too late or, in a perfect world, she never would have known it was him under the outfit - getting into character that well might be able to do that. As for Dawn... I'll admit that I'm an utter SOB when it comes to doing things to characters, but that was over the line for me, particularly with the Joker/Harley relationship (often abusive).

This matches a challenge I posted about a year or so ago called "The Halloween [s]Laughter Challenge", but you get points for originality as I don't believe you've read it or the similar story I wrote. Either way, I like this.

Very nice... and to think, Willow got made when Xander started dating Cordelia. I can't wait to see her reaction if Xander and Harmony become an item. I'd love to read about the events of Halloween night, but that might get overly dark. Thanks for this very interesting start.

I have always thought the Joker was one of the most evil "supervillains" that was ever created. Nice job with this little story. I especially liked Harmony as Harley. I don't know if I'd want to read more of this story as I am not fond of Xander as an evil supervillain, but this bit was quite nice.

Thanks. I'm not sure he'd be 'evil' as much as 'dark' - if he can work past the psycho tendencies, he might do some good. That's a big if, though.
Interesting idea. I love the inclusion of Harley. It'd be impressive to read a story where Xander is barely hanging on to something resembling sanity; using The Joker's mind and antics against the criminal and evil demonic elements of Sunnydale.
