This was cute. I vaguely remember the movie, but it was based on the book "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH". There are also two sequels: "Racso and the Rats of NIMH" and "R-T, Margeret, and the Rats of NIMH".
Comments from author:
I didn't know about the sequels, but I've read the original book, Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH. I liked it, and loved the movie as a little girl, so when I read the rules of the 'To Boldly Go' challenge, it was the first thing that came to mind.
I'm glad you liked it.

That's pretty funny, and definitely reasonable for both. I hope you actually read the book at some point. :) The movie was pretty good, but the book was better! Just don't do a cross with "Watership Down"...or do, and show us what Anya fears up close and personal.
Comments from author:
I have read Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH, actually, but it was years ago. never read Watership Down. Thank you for your thoughtful review.

You know I've never seen the movie. I didn't know there was a movie (Blush), but I read the book in like the 5th grade, when I was 10 yrs old, and I still remember most of it.
Comments from author:
The Movie is called "The secret of NIMH", and is available for instant viewing on Netflix, if you're interested.
I'm glad you liked this.

That was great! I love Mrs Frisbee and the rats of Nimh. Never would've thought to pair the two though. Great job.
Comments from author:
Me too. The secret of NIMH was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid. (Actually, I had four favorite movies between the ages of 5 and 10. The Secret of NIMH, Voltron: Defender of the Universe, Short Circuit and Flight of the Navigator.)

I loved the Rats of Nimh....would love to see Willow and the rats mixing it up a bit...HEY she loves rats or at least she seems too...at any rate thanks for helping me to relive my childhood.
Comments from author:
Hmmm... maybe someone will be inspired to write something along the lines of the rats finding their way into some corner of the Sunnydale survivors new homebase or something. Could be fun to read...

I'm always happy to know that my work has led someone to something new, especially when it's something like this wonderful classic. Let me know what you think once you've seen it.
By the way, it's available as an instnat view on Netflix.
