Thanks. I'm pretty pleased with how the fic came together. It's not great literature but it gives me a happy when I reread it and see reviews from those who feel the same.

Good job here. There is a nice poignancy or almost bittersweet tone to it that comes across nicely. Much better as a cross than the Usual forray. Some of the speech for Andy seemed a little off, but considering you covered that up by making the movie be just that, a movie about real events, made a nice way to explain any off bits or slightly skewed things. Saves you arguements with those that love nothing but critisizing. Solid take and again a good feel to the fic overall. It just fits (best way I can phrase it) both with BTVS and the world in which Shawshank existed. Bravo and well done.

Thanks for another thoughtful interview. The pieces just seemed to click a little better when I tossed around the idea of the movie. I'm proud of the fact that I didn't resort to making Andy a long-lost relative of Xander's...the poor kid's got to be related to half the planet by now :)

I love your stories, and your unique twist on Vi and Xander being together.
I had a thought though, while they're down in Mexico, I suspect Vi and Xander might have heard about a certain Demon Bar named The Titty Twister and how a preacher, his two kids, and a gangster on the run from the FBI, took down a whole Kiss of vampires. (From Dusk Til Dawn, there's only 2 x-overs with it on this site)

Oh, valdimarian, no!!! There were only two good things about that movie: Salma Hayek and Sal...wait, no, the groin-gun. Yeah. Not gonna attempt to tackle that crossover. Sorry :(
But I'm glad to see you enjoyed Xander and Vi. I've found they strike a chord with people. I'm hoping they get more print time now that Felicia Day is more famouser (search "Date My Avatar" on YouTube).

A lovely story, I felt smart when I clued in who it was when Xander did!
What an awesome crossover!
Thanks for sharing! Happy writing!

Wow, kind feedback! I hadn't meant it to be a tear-jerker; I thought it would be bittersweet at worst. I was actually thinking happy thoughts for Andy, with surviving relatives who he might see once in a while over the years, and for Red, who got to have life and a family after prison. I'm relieved that I dropped enough hints before the end...I always feel punked when I can't decode a crossover.
Very cool crossover and story. I really like your Xander/Vi paring. Poor Uncle Rory. I hope it was a really great cigarette. It looks like Xander wasn't the only one in the Harris family that attracted demon chicks. Lol!

I was trying to come up with some totally implausible burnt-out alcoholic story that Rory would invent, when I realized that it would be even better if it was true. Some demoness-friend of Anya like Vaughnie from nwhepcat's Xander/Faith stories would totally fit the bill.
Cool crossover dude =). By the way, the Slayer in spanish is called "La Cazadora".
See ya!!!

Thanks for the heads up. That transliteration gave me "hunter" and didn't feel right. I've seen translation for matador as "killer" somewhere and I winged it. I have changed it to Cazavampiros, because that's what YouTube (LOL) showed for BtVS in Spanish.
