*stares in shock and awe* Oh damn....So much for 'greater intelligence' *snickers, snorts, giggles*
Poor, dumb, proud, egotistical Angels. They really should have known a lot better than to do what they did. They all but ensured that Xander will give in and say yes. *sighs* Poor Xander.

OH my dear goodness. This was absolutely brilliant, heartbreaking, riveting, I feel that I'm not giving this enough justice with my mere words. Love it and can't wait for the next chapter. Now let me get my tissue, flees the scene weeping her heart out.

wow poor scoobies I see now why Xander is more likely to let Lucifer in he's heartbroken over the loss of the people he calls family. That would make me want to give up too.

You have an excellent grasp of the dynamic between Sam and Dean. This is gripping - I can't wait for more.

Thank you so much. That's a great compliment and I am trying. I have the new chapter posted on Xander's side of things, hope you enjoy. It was difficult trying to manipulate grief in such a way to give Lucifer an in, I hope I succeeded.
Okay this might be foolish but doesn't Sam deserve a little blame he did start the apocalypse and trusted a demon over his own brother. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve a second chance but really he's practically killed billions of people - I know he was tricked but still. I'd be a little peeved if it were true.

Yes, Sam deserves some blame about the whole thing but not all, Dean started the apocalypse with his whole torturing thing in hell. They both have some part in the whole thing and I get that Dean is feeling betrayed by Sam but the guy deserves a little sympathy and lots of help.
He's like an addict recovering. Dean needs to help him, give him a reason to stay on the right path, not let him float w/out an anchor while piling more guilt on the poor guy. Dean deserves to be mad and upset at the betrayal but I really don't like that they've parted ways. I haven't seen past the 2nd ep so I don't know if their heads are screwed back on straight. Apart they are so much more vulnerable than together.
Thanks for the review, hope you continue to enjoy the story.
I am not trying to belittle Dean's suffering in anyway, but Dean sold his soul to bring Sam back. One thing I've noticed is that they never dealt with where Sam was when he died. Did he go to hell or did he go to Heaven. Yeah, Sam made a mistake, but so did Dean. Sam feels guilty for a lot of things and I know he lied, yet in my oppinion, neither Sam or Dean are to blame for the demons manipultions.
Dean fell for a chance to bring back his brother.
Sam was lost without his.
The ones to blame are the angels fallen or otherwise.
People, innocent people, died because the Angels are bored.
Why is Sam constantly to blame for everything that happens?
Sorry I am enjoying the story and look forward to seeing what happens next. It just seems like lately every fic I've read is all about the Sam bashing.
Thanks
Calia

Yep, totally agree with you there. The first two eps have been horrible to Sam and he bears the weight of the whole hell on earth thing b/c he feels guilty but what's wrong is that Dean is so willing to let him do that, b/c his feelings are hurt.
This fic will continue with Sam bearing the brunt of Dean's anger since I won't make them part ways but ultimately Dean is in the wrong, Sam just cannot defend himself since he feels so guilty. But do know that I have a reason for piling things on Sam's shoulders.
PS. It might get worse for him, since lately I've been in a grim kind of mood, but there is a happy ending, sort of.
