The end of Highlander The Source was set in Eastern Europe. I decided to go with E. Germany. In Dr. Who canon the Daleks attacking Germany at the end of S4 shouted in German.

I had to look 'Highlander - the Source' up on Wikipedia. I'd never heard of it and I get the impression that I was lucky to have missed it (typical review quote: "it's bad—cheesily bad, colossally bad, monumentally bad, bad enough to make you never want to watch another movie again bad."). Your version of the ending would undoubtedly have been a big improvement.

The baddest - and not in a "so bad it's fun" way, it just sucks.
Evuhl! But I can't help agreeing with Methos, as well as with your assessment of that last "Highlander" movie.
Normally I'd expect to enjoy anything with Methos and Duncan in it, but that was just . . . kind of painful to watch, in spite of the boys' best efforts (and that bone they threw us at the end, about Duncan's unwillingness to kill for power making him the one Immortal who could be trusted with it).

I came close to microwaving the DVD, but I'll probably give it to a charity shop instead.

yeah... perfect ending to a dismal film. I know they tried... but I would have rather had Methos as the head honcho after all is said and done, he had the right survival instincts and every facet of him has never been explored in the show..... he can probably win the game by default by seemingly disappearing like the ghost he was.... his only hangup was coming out into the open, and I think even he planned it in a way... it was just too neat when Duncan found him first.

Methos was a fun character. Nothing about that film made sense, I never understood why Methos would want to participate in the whole silly quest. He's an immortal, he can wait a few centuries for things to improve.
