so far I have to say I am intriqued by the premises of the story and I wonder where you plan to take it, combining merlin with buffy is not something I have seen done often.(razial)

Well, it appears that Xander finally has family to be proud of. Uther has progressed into a good man at last. And Merlin can fufill his destiny of ushering in a great & noble dynasty.

A bit ambiguous about the fact that nobody noticed that 'Giles' wasn't the same person as 'Ripper' after the switch- and I still think you could maybe go into Buffy and Willow's reactions to this twist a bit more than you have so far-, but it does make an interesting explanation for Giles and Uther's resemblance to each other, to say the least.

ahh at least Willow will have a few questions next chapter *g*and to the no noticing..after the incident he started to leave his Ripper ways and become 'good' again. Uther just had to act a bit amongst other things *g*. I try to come to them next chapter.

oh than you should do that, I find it very nicley done so far, if you can accept that they retell the athurian legend a little bit different than it normaly is told but hey you are reading fanfic so you should be able to live with that *g*

Strong start, sounds intriguing.
Can't wait to see where you take this & who the 'robed man' is looking for, although my guess, robe boy is Merlin, and he's looking for Xander, who will turn out to be 'the once and future king'.
Update soon, I love both shows and I can't get enough of these x-overs.
