Loved the update! Your more mature and take charge Dawn is very much made of awesome and I loved all the details of them hiding the evidence of Buffy's death... Always did wonder what they did with all the bodies. Makes lots of sense.

I am curious as to how everyone is going to react to Dawn's story though. Will they believe her? And if they do, will they let her go with Castiel when he finally comes? Especially Spike.

They became the first Earth witches and they protected their villages, passing the knowledge on to those around them.”-AWESOME. I think in the SPN/BTVS-verse that this is how the earth witches get their powers. I’ve been fleshing out areas of thought on this in my own SPN crossover

I was just about to tell you how much I loved the subtle but clear connection between the meaning of Lucifer's name and Dawn, and then I saw the clarifying AN at the end. I felt so brilliant for connecting the dots and then you had to go and clarify it! I'm no longer feeling so special. :D

Thank you! I have about half of the next chapter written out. I just have to find the time to finish it up. It will be the last chapter for a while - until I flesh out the SPN timeline and where I want this story to take place in that timeline.

Hm, very interesting story! I love the idea completely with all the AU history of Dawn (the Key), Castiel, Lucifer, Demons/vampires and God himself. All very intriguing and nicely done.

Anyhoo, I really look forward to reading what happens next-- especially with the Winchesters coming in! Thanks for writing!!!

Great story so far

I have to say this crossover is very interesting and I'm loving how you merged the two series together. One question though, how is Spike going to play into all of this? Because there's no way Spike is going to let Dawn wander off with three strange men for 'her protection' without giving a fight. He promised Buffy afterall and with Buffy gone there's no way he'd let Dawn go. That and wow, Methos's artwork for this fic makes me want to see a showdown between Castiel and Spike. I bet it would be all kinds of interesting. Please keep writing this story.

That is an interesting and different view of the Buffy 'verse creation. Lots of possibilities for plot threads. Castiel has a hard road before him: he's been given several important tasks, each of which will need all his strength and intelligence.
