I think that Emerald's memories are starting to return. And this could spell trouble for both the Scooby Gang as well as Sapphire and Steel. We shall have to see how this plays out.

I've been busy with my account over on Fanfiction . net. With far too many stories just bubbling forth I just wanted to finish some off. Of course that meant starting about three others but you cant have everything. Thank you for the review

Haven't seen enough of the original series to actually figure out what, where and when the agents have come from. This makes it harder to figure out their motivation.

S&S? I like your premise, and I have to say it makes a disturbing amount of sense. I'll be watching this one avidly.
So no pressure :-)
Comments from author:
Sapphire and Steel making sense, are you sure we're talking about the same show?
I have a pressure on every one of my stories. Reviews just add to it. Given the feed back on this one it really deserves something soon. I've got something to polish off over on fanfiction . net but after that I'll return!
Thanks for the review Mountain King AKA Thomas Fishwick
I have to admit, I only know a very small amount about this show. But I did love the Man from Uncle reference that you put in. Now, I wonder what's going to happen when Glory tries to muscle in on these two agents!

I loved Sapphire and Steel, and followed it avidly in my childhood. Hated the way it ended, though. Traumatised me no end. :-)
The weird thing for me was seeing Joanna Lumly (much older) as the drunk mum in Ab Fab, after having seen her younger self play cool females like Sapphire, and Purdey from the New Avengers. Good actress.
RESPONSE to your reply: 1. I'm quite happy to accept your premise that they got out! :-) 2. Re: the Gurkhas - really respected her persistence and also the strength of her convictions. 3. Patrick Stewart - another favourite of mine. I was THAT close to him once, at a movie premiere
Comments from author:
For this I'm saying that they've found a way out of the dinner cafe. Don't ask how because I don't know. Lumley is a fantastic actress and still out acting 90% of the gang out there today. She's one of the few Actors I'd like to meet (then again when the list also includes Brian Blessed, Patrick Stuart, Sean Connery you know I'm never going to) as out of character she seems just as interesting. See what she did with the Gurkas? I still can't stop laughing at that.

Oh my God that was a cool start! Two things I loved especially 1)The "Emerald" line 2) The "thought you'd speak Russian" line. I was living in Manchester when S&S aired it's 2nd season, and regretted heading back to the states and missing the third.
Comments from author:
Giles just expected him to speak Russian. I can't think why. The whole series is on DVD over here now, I have to admit that's what inspired me to write this.
Thanks for the review!

Wonderful. Sadly I'm actually old enough to remember and appreciate S&S from the original screenings, but nearly thirty years on they're still worth a another look. Cute little nod to David McCallum in there. Dawn/the Key as one of the elements never even crossed my mind. Hopefully she'll come into and be trained in her powers soon enough to kick Glory's ass. Or at least have somewhere well out of range to run. How much do S&S know about Slayers, vampires etc? The way they roam about in time I'd be surprised if they haven't run into things before.
Really looking forward to your next update.
Comments from author:
I have to admit I'm a little too young to have seen the show's first time around. I heard the introduction somewhere and it stuck. After getting it on DVD I had to play about with them.
I can't give too much away at the moment, but yes they do know about vampires and demons. It's just not part of their remit...
Thank you for the Review

Well, that's an obscure crossover if I ever heard of one. I only know of S&S by reputation. Can we expect more obscure British sf stories? Blake's 7? An Englishman's Castle?
Comments from author:
Possibly, don't forget my Avengers crossover...
but if I was it would have to be AFTER I've finished this story... and maybe with Ace of Wands.
Thanks for the Review!
