Whedon wicca bears only a slight superficial resemblance to any form of religious rite. That being said, Cho is my favorite character on the series, and this was a neat snapshot of why.

I can definitely see Cho reacting that calmly to the discovery that magic actually is real (very Oz-like, in his reactions sometimes)!

Good story, I love "The Mentalist".

Tamson Dove does need a "little talk", assuming she actually is practicing Wicca.

The Threefold Law was mostly ignored on BtVS, and Willow did NOT practice Wicca.

I don't understand what the glass jar with ashes was about, but other than that I liked the story.

Ok, the jar was what the witch collected the ashes of the little effigy she burned in the spell in. In the episode, Jane gets an identical jar, burns one, puts its ashes in the jar and gives it to Cho saying that "Tamson Dove (the witch) asked me to give this to you" and that's what makes him relax.
