Review of chapter "Foresworn and Hellfire" from banner
Review:
I just reread this story, and it's still *wrenching*.

Being burned to nothing doesn't seem like sufficient punishment for Zachariah.
Comments from author:
Now that's a lovely compliement to hear people reread my stories. Thank you.

I think Lucifer is far more interested in punishing God for his slights which, from his perspective, is understandable.

Love this!
An interesting twist on Buffy being pulled from heaven.
Comments from author:
Thank you! I think she was at her weakest emotionally and mentally at the beginning of season six so it played out nicely.

Review:
I've never thought myself as a great Lucifer fan, but I couldn't help but like him in these pieces. I especially loved how he's keeping his promise to Buffy, and the line about having made a promise to a lady was very sweet in a way. And Dean was very much himself particularly with humming Aerosmith and the end's conversation induced headache; I can just see his expression in my mind.

I wouldn't be against reading more from the same 'verse, but it's also quite brilliant as it is.

I'm not purposely nit-picking, but this "I don’t lie. I don’t need too" just stood out, thought I'd mention it.
Comments from author:
I've always enjoyed Lucifer when Mark Pellegrino was portraying him. He did a great job giving the character depth and it was fun to watch him. I think Lucifer has honor and I believe him when he stated he didn't need to lie because in this case the truth is on his side. Why lie when the truth is so much more painful and interesting?

Dean's a favorite of mine so I'm glad he came across as in character. He can be difficult to pin down. I have intentions of continuing this 'verse. Muse permitting. :)

Thanks for the edit comment. I appreciate them.

Still want more of this >:). Curious to see the tale played out to it's end!
Comments from author:
There could be more. I doubt Lucifer is done with the angels or demons yet. :)

My exact words after finishing the second part? "That was friggin' sweat!" Not my proudest moment, but it pretty much sums up how awesome this story was. Fantastically creepy.
Comments from author:
Thank you! I like first reactions. :) Glad you liked it and thank you for taking the time to review.

I love the darkness you add to your stories. The conversation between Lucifer and Buffy last chapter was great, but this--Cas's revulsion at Zachariah's actions, the way he just stands by and lets Lucifer torch the guy... Wow. I love Cas, and never more than when he's blindsided by the actions of Angels.

I know this story was never even intended to have a second chapter, but if the bunnies of plot so strike you I'd love to see how Dean reacts to the blow Buffy was dealt, as well as how using a slayer as a vessel affects the fallen Ange's abilities.

On another note, FFA has an open pairing challenge for Buffy Summers / Lucifer if you want to claim it. This certainly qualifies.
Comments from author:
Thank you. I'm a fan of the dark which is why most of my story tend to congregate there. I think Castiel's utter faith always fails him and that's what makes him so complex and interesting a character.

There's a third bunny bouncing around my hard-drive somewhere and I do know where this series will end, but it's the getting to that point that amuses/frustrates me. Buffy's abilities will have no affect on Lucifer, I don't think that character needs to be more powerful, but her personality will affect some of his decisions and actions.

Alas I can not claim a FFA unless it is a new story or chapter, but thank you for letting me know about it. :) Thank you for reviewing.

I really liked this plot bunny. I don't know about anyone else, but if you have it in you to write more I'd love to see it.
Comments from author:
Thank you. There might be more to this plot bunny because I know how I'd like it to end, but getting to that point is the problem. :) Thank you for taking the time to review.

Not something I had ever considered in the many scenerios I imagine....and I loved it! Especially since even though she's Lucifer's vessel....the destruction he does (and will) cause, really is deserved.
Comments from author:
Good. I do sometimes take aim for the unexpected and it's nice to know when I've accomplished it. I don't know about the deserving part though since this is still Lucifer and his ultimate goal is the destruction of the human race. Thank you for taking the time to review.

Wow, two 'holy shit' comments. I take that as a complement. :)

*blushes* I'm not sure about the winning part, but being nominated means a great deal.

Review:
Okay...I didn't think it could get creepier after the first chapter. I was wrong.
I mean, seriously, the first chapter was just like WHOA! Buffy's gonna' be the devil! Dude!
But then you add the second chapter and I'm literally hugging myself as I read it. The artwork helped me get into the frame of mind the enjoy the creeptasticness of it, but seriously. I could see it perfectly in my mind, which just added to the whole shuder inducing quality. Imagining Buffy tilting her head to the side and saying "One down, God to go." In that high, innocent girly voice of hers... *shudders*
Gah! Fantastic job.
Comments from author:
Thank you! Technically Lucifer is just wearing Buffy, but his promise to her is going to take him many interesting places. :) FaithUnbreakable did a lovely job and I'm grateful for such amazing artwork to accompany my little story and I too think she captured the essence of Lucifer perfectly with that manip. Thank you for taking the time to review.

I'm so glad this bunny stuck with you because DAMN! I love how you wrote Lucifer, got yourself a perfect grasp on the character just like Dean and Cas (which you know since I can't shut up about "Miles to Go" ;)). I love the whole concept of Buffy as Lucifer, it doesn't seem farfetched considering that you connected it to her resurrection. I also liked that you rewrote this scene after Dean comes back. Seemed like logical place and moment for this to play out. Also, Lucifers comment to "invicible" Cas? Priceless! Love that she KNEW he was there and what he was about to do!
Comments from author:
Yay! I'm a little infatuated with Mark Pellegrino's portrayal of Lucifer. He's arrogant, smart and sometimes, sometimes he breaks my heart a little. (Expect him to play a part in the Miles to Go'verse.) Buffy's resurrection broke her enough that I think she'd say yes. I think she'd agree to some sort of reprieve and a chance at payback. :)

I wanted a moment that had Dean and Zachariah, but I wanted it to play out after Dean had seen the future in which Lucifer wins. I then realized that the end scene would work perfectly and I'd get the chance to use Castiel and show his reaction to Buffy's resurrection. All and all it turned out pretty well. Thank you for reviewing!
