Review of chapter "The Visit - Part 4" from Glumski
Review:
Well, this was quite nice! I liked the initial setup a lot and the characters seem to be very true to the shows. It's also fascinating what you made out of the clan/family structure. The appearance of the Possibles was surprising, though there are lots of parallels between KP and BtVS (which actually surprised almost as much). I had a few difficulties following the dialogue in the first chapter(s) though that might just've been me being tired.
So... I hope you'll update soon!

Cool story. I like how you have come up with some original ideas about the key and the slayer activation spell.
Glad to see you still updating some of these old stories too!

So, Shego and Kim got tatoos in their butts?

Edit: Both Kim and Shego are members of the redheads club, duh!
Comments from author:
Not sure how you came to that conclusion. Hmm...

Edit: Ah, but nothing is said about WHERE the tattoos are, just that Buffy has her's in some potentially embarrassing location (which might be revealed later. might not.) And non-Slayers get them in a visible, to others in the League, location.

Review:
I've been following this for a while, now, and it is a fun, easy-going, story.

The social and magical bits linking the Slayers, is a fun subject, and the 'Red-headed League' is an amusing refinement. You could wonder if Willow could 'adjust' things, if she really tried, or, if she is smart enough to leave well alone.

I'm amazed by Sam's patience. I'd have thought she'd be discussing research protocols, with Dawn, by now. Maybe trying to find out how magic interacts with naquadah, in the hope of building instruments to measure magic? Putting a magic-user under the best (alien) medical tech and seeing if magic-use produces detectable changes? Then, going the other way, and seeing what magic-sensitive people feel around things like the ribbon device and the healing device (once enough NDAs have been signed?).

The Slayers who've interacted with Sam, so far, don't seem to be jumpy about the naquadah in her system, but, maybe she just hasn't met one with the right sensitivity?

Given the Story title refers to "Portal Girl" and "Science Lady", will we be seeing more portally and sciencific fun in due course? :)

Willow arriving is going to stir things up...

I'm really curious where you take this story...
Comments from author:
The Science Lady made a brief appearance earlier in the story but yes, she really should have made an appearance here when Keys and portals were discussed. I suspect she's on her best behavior at the moment. Will Science Lady make an appearance soon? We'll see.

Naquadah detection by slayers? Unless there's a mystical component to that, I don't see it happening, which means Sam wouldn't even get the idea to test that.

Yeah, Willow really messed up with that spell. What happens when Buffy dies for real. Uh?

Great to see this continuing. The KP cameo was very welcome :)
Comments from author:
Well, she and Shego are part of that universe, so occasional appearances will happen. And I really need to work on my third KIGO fic (KP going off to college). Maybe when this one is done.

Review:
I've enjoyed this story the whole clan thing is great by the way it works... It would be great if they go back to the SGC and Jack, Daniel and Hammond say something along the lines of "Hey nice tattoos..." Because honestly all three of them make great examples for fathers/grandfathers for members of the Buffy crew a lot better than any of the canon fathers and Giles by a long shot. Basically Giles and Wesley would have been shot dead by any of them and the old council destroyed for some of the things they did to Faith and Buffy in season 3 alone... Also, I love the Buffy, Dawn incest jokes as it makes fun of how since they had worked together before and were both from New York and Jewish backgrounds they seemed more like an old married couple than sisters at times... Strangely, enough I don't think either of them has played a Jewish character on screen...
Comments from author:
Interesting idea, though the tattoos have a mystical component based on some currently undefined rules about family relationships so no one at Stargate Command, except Sam and Janet will be able to see them.

If Daniel HADN'T de-ascended by this point (the story starts in early Season 7 of Stargate SG-1 but hasn't intersected with any Stargate episodes yet) he might have seen it. Whether his experiences while ascended leave him sensitive to mystical forces is up in the air at this point.
