... Ok that'd just gonna piss them off when they find out, and considering Buffy's previous track record with these things... they WILL find out. All magic leaves traces, even magic worked by gods. Doesn't matter that she believes it's best for now, whether or not it really is. She's not a true god, her only power is in Vegas, and they've broken things done by gods before. Good thing Buffy isn't actively in the city, she seems to... break such things just by being around. Then again, if she WERE in the city, she'd have been at that meeting instead of Willow and things would likely have gone differently. Talking to the multiple-time savior of the world instead of someone who almost ended it for one thing. Tis just my opinion but it's how I see it. They will eventually find out something happened, figure out what happened, and remember.

Well aware that there are parts of this little story that come after this so I'm not actually going to influence anything by saying this, just thinking.

I will say that other than the fact that, in my opinion, they WOULD find out, I do like that she's the personifaction of the city. It's interesting. Haven't seen something quite it and it's nice to see something fresh.

Edit:If Buffy and the Scythe showed up in vegas it would probably break the memory part fairly quickly. The Scythe being a representative of a power far older, and stronger, than Heather and her dominion and Buffy being her natural Queen Slayer self. Hope you do write a piece showing them remembering. Personally, I don't think they'd take it very well, protector of the city or not.

I think that they'd find out sooner or later, but it might take a while - I'm afraid I have no plans to write more in the series at present, but that might be part of it if I ever change my mind.

Loved it. I found it very original, and any appearance by the wonderful Lady Heather makes me squee with joy. :)
Everything fit together nicely, though its too bad she wasn't able to spend time with Faith after all. I think they would have got along famously. Ah well.

It is interesting that you made Lady Heather the avatar of the city in this very nicely written story.

Great idea with the kind of power/entity/whatever you made of Lady Heather. In the show she impersonates an aspect of the city. Here she in a way *is* the city. I really like this.

Thanks - not sure where the idea came from, but it was fun to write.

Scary power, to change time like that :-)
It makes me wonder, though, how you explain that nobody tried to stop willow destroying the world the same way. MAybe they saw that they didn't need to. Or maybe they can't interefere everywhere.....

Wai- wai- WAIT A MINUTE??!! I only recently started watching CSI, mainly because of the episode where they meet her. But there is more than one??? What is the other one??? More info, please????????? Will beg as necessary. Always did like Lady Heather.
Comments from author:
The two episodes are Slaves of Las Vegas in season 2, and Lady Heather's Box in season 3

Slaves of Las Vegas introduced her, and I'll guess it's the one you've seen; it's the one about the woman murdered while covered in liquid latex.

Lady Heather's Box was an extra-long episode about the murder of two of Lady Heather's customers, which also dealt with the murder of a major character's ex. It's very difficult to say much more without spoiling it for you.

I don't know if there have been any later episodes involving her - we're a year or more behind the USA so there might be.

How utterly fascinating. I'm kicking myself for not reading this earlier, but work has been a bear recently.

It's a brilliant twist to Lady Heather's...er...existence, as well as offering a possible explanation for some of her behaviours on the show. The Scoobie mentality of always expect the worst was spot on, even if I wanted to shout at the computer to just ask the people involved for heaven's sake. It's nice to see Willow and Kennedy in domestic bliss, more or less, and you've rendered one of the few incarnations of Kennedy I can stomach.

As always, another fantastic addition to your Slayers/CSI series.

This was a wonderful addition to your series of CSI stories, though I admit to wanting to shake the Scoobies for yet again failing to do the obvious -- ask the person who knows.
