Review of chapter "Col Everett Young v2" from AXanFan
Review:
I watched and loved Stargate long before it was a Sci-Fi Channel hit and I came to love Stargate Atlantis, but have not found a way to like the new Stargate Series. I feel like it is way too much like the Battlestar Galactica Series, which I did not like, and it is way too dark -- just not my taste.

That said I still think you did a good job on the Manips -- even if I originally opened this up to see some of the characters from the first two series. Still -- good job -- I don't have the patience to make them look right, but I enjoy looking at other people's work.
Comments from author:
I completely agree with you on the loving of Stargate; I watched it when it first came out on Sky1, then watched Atlantis, and now Universe, which seems to be on hold for a while. I actually liked BSG, but only the 2003 version, not the original, which is probably I like Universe as much as I do. It actually seems to have a more human-based focus, about what goes wrong when the worst-case scenario actually happens, (which is probably why I like disaster movies so much).

Mega-thanks on the compliment, and you never know, sometime in the future, some SG1/SGA manips may show up here on TTH, but I actually have a few posted on DeviantArt under the name Phoenix Lumen. You can have a quick look here if you like, and tell me what you think.

Review of chapter "Lt Scott and Mr Wallace v1" from Cdog
Review:
If you mean prior to the "Light" epsiode, then I would have to say I have no problem with it. If you're asking if it's fine after would be a diffrent matter. Either way I like how the title pops out on the second pic
Comments from author:
Should I take these words to mean you like Chloe? Thanks, unusually enough I like the first one more, mainly because the title doesn't pop out. Guess this means multiple versions will be arriving for all my manips now.

Review:
Enjoyed the photo manipulations however several of them seem very dark as in difficult to see who is in the photo....
Comments from author:
I've found during the design process that the vast majority of them look better with a dark background. If there's a list of those you think would look better with a brighter or different background, send me a message and I'll see what I can do?

P.S. Do you look at them with a computer or a laptop? I've found with a laptop, because of how I tilt my screen, they look brighter/darker depending on where the picture is on the screen. Maybe that's the problem you've found, maybe not; just a suggestion.

These are really good, but what's up with no love for Eli.
Comments from author:
There's only no love for Eli yet, yet being the operative word..........can you wait til tomorrow? You should see all the ones I've got ready to upload with him in them, it's incredible. I think I got kinda carried away slightly.

Review of chapter "Lt Matthew Scott v1" from sheneya
Review:
All the images seem to be gone, did you delete them yourself, or where they removed by photobucket?
Comments from author:
Thanks for alerting me to this, I had created a folder for all my SGU manips on photobucket, but only updated the last five manips since the first five seemed to be okay with the move. Apparently not. So thanks once again.

Review of chapter "Lt TJ v2" from Orion
Review:
Great! Thanks for the hard work on these, they all look good. Can I request an Eli/Chloe manipulation? Even without the romantic aspect that Eli would like - they certainly have become good friends - so I think they warrant a pic together.
Comments from author:
One Eli and Chloe manip coming right up! Look back around New Years; it should be up by then.

Review:
again i'm loving this.. the contrast between the gate and the characters is beautifully done.. but i 'v feeling a serious lack of Eli *pout* and Rush*double pout* lol.. though our Lt Scott nearly makes up for them .. LoL ..
Comments from author:
I agree, there is a serious lack of Eli and Rush, but don't worry, they should be on the way soon. In fact, I'll go make one now, especially for you. Now.....Eli OR Rush, or Eli AND Rush? Decisions, decisions...........

Review of chapter "Col Telford v1" from payday
Review:
Congrats on the counter views, I don't know how many people usually look at fanart, but I saw the SGU title and decided to take a peak.

The last two are great, I love the storyline for those two characters. The guy who plays Telford does his part very well, you just love to hate him. And I like that Young seems to care about the people on board and doesn't do the "I'm military and you should obey my orders no matter the outcome." It seems people follow him because he'll do what he can to pull them through the hardships. It really showed his personality in the episode where they tried to do that experiment that could possible take them home. Rush really shined in that episode too. I hope they tell us soon what Rush is hiding.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the congratz. Lou Diamond Philips (Telford) was an excellent cast, in my opinion, they couldn't have picked a better actor. I also like Young's personality; he seems a bit like an early Jack O'Neill, don't you think? Honestly? I hope they don't tell us about Rush soon. He's got his own story arc going here, is he evil? Does he care more about science than people? So many ways this could go.

Review of chapter "Col Telford v1" from Amai
Review:
I loved Greer from the first moment they pulled him out of the brig. I mean, what better way is there to introduce a character?

I hadn't seen far enough to know that Scott and Chloe kissed though, so i'm a little sad. I like nerd boy. :)
Comments from author:
I agree, from that scenario we know that, a) he's got a bit of a dark(er) side, and b) that Young cares enough to basically rescue one soldier from what would have been certain death. (If you don't happen to recall this vital part of SGU, Icarus planet exploded.)

I'm so sorry about this! I'll update the main introduction to the manips, making sure to say that this lot contain spoilers. You might have just saved a lot of other people from having their SGU viewing experience tainted; I'm just so apologetic that it hadn't occurred to me sooner to say that it contains spoilers.

I also like nerd boy, there's just something about him that's hard not to like. You'll see in future episodes about why I think he's such an excellent character.

Review of chapter "Lt TJ v1" from payday
Review:
Great job, I really like the right one and the expression on her face. I don't know how I feel about her yet. She is one of the few females who is taking a role in doing her part to help around the ship, that I've seen. But so far we only know so little about her.

So how do you like the show. I'm coming around to liking it. It has some good things about it and bad things but it's different from other Stargates like they said, which is why I stopped watching SGA in the last season it was just getting old watching the same situations but with different characters. Since I've seen that many others have different views than mine, I was wondering what yours is.
Comments from author:
TJ is amazing, I have to say, and she has such a lot weighing down on her shoulders, since she's the only medically trained person on board.

I actually really like the show, but it does seem like a bit of a mixture of SG1 and late Atlantis (after the Gatebridge) where they could be in contact with Earth. I like how each episode (or mini series) focuses on a somewhat different topic, like water and air, but how they're all based on the need for survival. What I really appreciate though, is how early on they've created a time-travel episode, because they're my favourite type of episode. You could kinda tell at the beginning something weird was going on because the view was constantly from a KINO, and then Eli's question "So what the hell just happened here?" (or something along those lines).

Speaking of series 5 Atlantis, I haven't actually gotten round to watching much of it either, mostly because they put Woolsy in charge, and he's not exactly my favourite character in the universe. Since Atlantis has finished though, I've made sure to get S5 on DVD, just to see if I missed anything important.

Does it seem to you that there's a bit of a BSG2003 vibe going on? I keep waiting for someone to say "We need to make babies".

Review:
He's growing on me too. I wasn't sure if I would like him in the beginning because of his demeanor and I was wondering why he was locked up. But after each episode I'm really starting to like his personality and I really loved how we learned why he was locked up which just made me love him even more.
Comments from author:
Ah yes, the punching of Colonel Telford. Don't you just love how he keeps on doing it to Telford, in spirit if not in body? I like how he is loyal to those he deems worthy of it.

Review:
Nice! How you put the three pictures around is really good. I don't know about you but I don't really like these two together. It just came out of nowhere no build up of them even having a conversation besides her dad and now I feel like every episode is with them getting it on and that there trying to make us love this couple.
Comments from author:
I actually feel the exact same way, it's like they've been pushed together and we're supposed to like that. Maybe the producers have done that so....so.....actually I have no idea why. I honestly think that Chloe and Eli would be a great couple, or even Matt and Eli, and knowing my luck there's either going to be a love-triangle going on that results in one of them getting injured/dying, or a threesome. I'm not entirely sure which idea I'd prefer, although it'd probably be the first so long as it was Chloe who died.
