Review of chapter "Defendant Pleads Not Guilty By Reason Of Stupidity" from (Current Donor)kcl
Review:
I'm delighted to see you've added a chapter to this. I think you've done well capturing the personal traits and interactions of that universe, and I look forward to how you continue the story. Thanks!

By the way, is Buffy in an alternate universe or was she trapped in the stone for a few thousand years? (Or is that part of the 'reveal' in the story?)
Comments from author:
Yes. (Wow, it's fun being annoyingly vague!)

Thanks for the review.

Review:
Thrilled to see this. Just picked up my paperback copy of Fledgling and am so ready to dive back in.

The formating is a little tough on the eyes, but the story is unfolding so delightfully.

Haven't read the Liaden books, by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller? Then most of this will be nonsense to you.

Also, I feel pity for them. :) Agent of Change is one of my all time favorite sci-fi books!

Review of chapter "Defendant Pleads Not Guilty By Reason Of Stupidity" from AllenPitt
Review:
Those crazy Liadens. But at least they're polite while trying to kill you. Manners are so important! It's about standards, as Dr. Horrible would put it...
Anyway, if they make it to his ship, at least she's got a goal now, getting advice from a witch. If this is the far future of her timeline... maybe Willow set up a trigger spell, ie 'if Buffy ever shows up again, send her a care package' ?

This is a perfect depiction of a yos'Phelium's attitude. I love it...

Review of chapter "Thou Shalt Not Commit Amateur Archaeology" from ncatt
Review:
It seems the Korval genius for trouble has bred true. And since it's likely that either Miri or Natesa is in his immediate family tree, he might actually be able to keep up with Buffy.

Speaking of, which branch of the Yos'Pheliums does he descend from? And are we only one generation after I Dare or more?
If, of course, the information does not constitute spoilers.
Comments from author:
Not a big spoiler. His parents are Pat Rin and Inas Bhar (which is why his skin's darker than most Liaden).

OK, you've hooked me. I'm a huge Liaden-verse fan, and you've captured their character very well. Do continue.

The port scene was delightful.

Review:
ok, he broke into the sacred shrine and fondled the Holy Object. That could happen to anyone! Huh, that historical record seemed kind of Stargate-y.... gee, Buffy seems a bit upset. No doubt a simple votive offering to the Shrine Maiden will pacify her!
No doubt the natives will be a bit enraged if they figure out what he's done and that she came out of there. Heh.... but I'm sure a few cups of tea and a little talk will settle everyone down!
At least he got Buffy. Imagine if it'd been one of the non-super-diplomat slayers. Oh, wait...

Review of chapter "Unlife Is A Journey" from AllenPitt
Review:
Buffy/Liaden'verse. Wow, that's an original combination. But she should excel as an ambassador and linguist. Ok, maybe not. Even a Liaden who is a skilled linguist etc will find her a bit much to handle. But hey. At least she's of a proper civilized size, not like most towering Terran types....
Gee...I'm not sure the peace negotiations in Scotland went all that well. I'd bet the slayers wiped out that group of demons. Not a smart move on their part. But maybe Willow will be able to find her someday.
Hm..not much for Buffy to do in this 'verse unless there are demons/vamps?

Review:
A Liaden universe crossover? Wow, I think this is the first one I've ever run across. I have to say that I'm delighted, though, as clan Korval of (at least, originally) planet Liad is one of my most favorite SF universes. I very much look forward to see how you manage this unusual x-over. Thanks!
