Review of chapter "Chapter One" from Alexis
I really enjoyed this. It always seemed entirely ooc for Buffy to turn her back on Angel and Spike.

St Buffy? Only someone with a severely diminished eyesight would think that.

Who got yanked out of heaven?
Who had to kill their beloved?
Who after being kicked out by HER FAMILY came back and saved them all?

Yeah Buffy made mistakes. But no one was as alone as Buffy was the whole time.
Bottom line is that Buffy was more sinned against then sinning. And for those that claim otherwise
I suggest a trip to the eye doctor.
Comments from author:
They all screwed up at various times. And I agree, Buffy was more sinned against than sinning. I never realized that this story could get so many people hot under the collar. Those folks probably aren't going to like the next installment either.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from Gideon
Definitely a Buffy perspective on everything but understandable from what we know of Angel Season 5. I hope Buffy finds a bit of forgiveness for Dawn at least, eventually. And I agree that this doesn't sound like Faith at all, she would have been there for Angel if at all possible.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from FireWolfe
I like this a lot. It shows a less then forgiving Buffy and I have to say sometimes she should have been that. Given all that went on she had a right to be angry. I would love to see more and to see her maybe make up with Spike and Dawn. Angel well he has always been even more manipulative then the others.
This was well done. I do hope yu have Faith be innocent in this. Hell I love to see Willow and Xander having been played by Kennedy. Maybe a spell or something. Well done AGAIN.
Comments from author:
Thanks, glad you liked it.

I'm working on the follow up. There will be fireworks and that's all I'll say for now.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from clarityfades
Absolutely wonderful! I really like that the Immortal was Buffy's friend, not lover. Any chance for a one-shot (or full story) sequel to this? I'd love to see Buffy try to help Angel & Spike & possibly rebuild her life w/ them in LA (or elsewhere). & I'm guessing that Giles was in on the secret (of Spike being back & Spangel needing help)--it doesn't make sense to me that the cover-up would be in place w/o some serious input from him. Glad no one was in on her plan w/ the Immortal though....seriously, I hope there's a sequel. I think it could be very interesting (& perhaps even turn into a crossover). :) Great job!
Comments from author:
A followup is planned and it will be a crossover.

Interesting set-up for a longer story. I like it. It offers lots of possibilities. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with it, although I can wait patiently while you finish your current works in progress. (Because I love your Stargate crossovers.) Add me to the list of people who hope Buffy makes it to Los Angeles before it's too late.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from (Current Donor)romero
Lovely. I think that you've nailed down the betrayers and it fits their MO. Having the Immortal be her friend and helping her detach the reins of the Scoobies/CoW so she could start anew was a nice twist. I would love to think that Buffy got to LA in time or at least could tract down Spike and Angel. Thanks for the good read.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from RevDorothyL
Yes! THIS sounds like Buffy (not the muddled reports of her that Spike and Angel received in AtS season 5), and I hope you'll be inspired to write a sequel some day, about the further adventures of "Sasha Curry", or at least how she fared when she got to L.A..

Was she in time for the big battle? Did she survive? Did Spike? Did Spike and Sasha Curry go into business together at some point (opening their OWN detective agency, perhaps? or a martial arts studio?)? So many intriguing questions!
Comments from author:
Those questions and more will be answered when the sequel comes out. Just don't hold your breath.

I hesitate to get involved in what appears destined to become a wankfest, but I have to agree with Greywizard on this. Especially about the last two seasons of the show.

Frankly Buffy jumped the shark when they decided to keep on going after the fifth season.
Comments from author:
I didn't intend to set off a firestorm with this story, honest.

As to jumping the shark, I will agree that the final two seasons had some cringe-worthy storylines (but I have to admit I'm more pro Spuffy than Bangel).

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from Greywizard
Interesting but rather one-sided interpretation of the facts regarding the last two years in Sunnydale. Everyone - and I definitely mean EVERYONE, including Buffy - screwed up in rather big ways during that time period, primarily because the writers twisted all of their characters to hell and gone in numerous ways. It was actually painful to watch the show during the last two seasons.

That said, this looks like it could be the beginning of an interesting alternate universe, which I will be tracking.

And in defense of Robin (a character I really don't care for, as you would be able to tell from reading my own stories), Spike's behavior before and after he gained a soul, didn't change in the slightest, so how could anyone actually be sure that he actually had one? After all, in canon, there isn't any sort of spell that could be done to prove it's actually there. And having the person who viciously killed your mother parade around in front of you, acting like they are a great person while still wearing your mother's coat as a trophy, is at the very least insulting and demeaning to her memory. Angel at least apologized for his behavior as Angelus and tried to make what reparations he could, while Spike acted as though he had done nothing wrong, while also treating everyone except Buffy as dirt.
Comments from author:
Of course it's one-sided, it's Buffy interpretation. But as I've noted in early comment, Buffy does realized that she could have done things differently, at least as far as Dawn was concerned.

You are right that Robin does have a right to hate Spike. It also follows that Buffy is aware that her prior relationship with Spike does not make Robin one of her natural allies. If the only good vampire is a dead one, a Slayer that consorts with vampires has impaired judgment.

I do disagree about Spike treating everyone else like dirt. He did like Joyce and I'm pretty sure that was pre-Buffy obsessed Spike.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from Whimsicality
Oh this is a lovely one shot (although it would make an amazing start to a story as well ;-) ). I love that your Buffy was not involved with the Immortal as anything more than a friend and information source but was well aware of what her friends thought of her. I think its true to her character that she wouldn't turn down help to Angel or Spike regardless of who they were working for and that it would be the final straw that broke the camels back when it came to her relationship with her family. Hopefully Sasha Curry will have a happier life and more trustworthy friends.
Comments from author:
I have plans for Ms. Curry but the followup may be a while in coming (even by my standards).

Cool story. WIsh Buffy would have stood up to the Scoobies a long time ago. They treated her horrible. It would have served them right if she would have left when they voted her out of her home. Would be great to see the reunion once Buffy gets to LA. I always did like a good Spuffy story whether they were just good friends or if they were more.

thx for sharing.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from CarterOfMars
Wow. Radical and poor re-interpretation of everyone in favour of St. Buffy. Let's ignore her appalling selfishness shall we?
Comments from author:
St. Buffy? Hardly, but this is Buffy's take on things. She knows she should have done better with Dawn and that their relationship suffered for it. As for her relationships with the rest of the Scoobies and Council, she knew they weren't particularly good even before this happened. They don't trust her judgment but the judgment shown by some of the others (Willow, Xander, Faith, and young Giles) isn't any better. For Buffy, the final straw was that *some* of them, especially Giles, made a series of decisions and, most importantly, stamped her name on it. It's one thing for the Council to deny help to Fang Gang, it's an altogether different thing for the Council to claim that Buffy made that decision when she was completely out of the loop. When your only purpose seems to be scapegoat, it's time to bail.
