Review of chapter "Rise of the Juggernaut" from CageFire
Review:
Real interesting story. I have noticed you seem to write a lot of 1 chapter fics. Then again, not every author can write really long ones, and not every idea warrants it.
Comments from author:
I never did like breaking things up into chapters. I geuss its just lazyness. I've actually been working on that. Sorry it took so long to write back. Thanks for the review.

I love this story. I am begging...BEGGING...for a sequel
Comments from author:
I didn't mean for it to be a stand alone when I started, but its been some time. And thats what is now. I'm glad you enjoy'd it. But I have no plans on writing a follow up.

Review:
A great fic. Allows some rather unique storytelling for the future as well.

Plus there is a small chance for a pairing in Xander's future. Since you changed Juggernauts origin no reason you could not change She-Hulk's origin. Have Faith exposed to some of Bruce Banners blood via Wolfram and Hart machinations...
Comments from author:
Thanks for the review. I'm not doing to much writing now. Joined the Marines some time ago, and its been work work work. Glad to hear people are still reading my work though.

I like the idea of Faith as She-Hulk. Its interesting. But I don't think I'll be continuing this one. Though, I did think of writing the pairing as Xander/Glory. Being a God would have allowed her to...well survive sex with The Juggernaut. At any rate, thanks again for reading.

Review:
Good Story. Though Not sure where you ended it was the right place to end it. Sorta left it at a cliffhanger point. No real conclusion. Though it is a perfect spot for a sequel.

Review of chapter "Rise of the Juggernaut" from Vassago
Review:
Well, first thing Juggernaut wasn't a mutant. He was altered by an outside force and is a Magical Avatar/Exemplar of the diety Cyttorak.

Sunnydale being a "anti-mutant" place when it completely ignores things that could easily be taken -as- a breed of mutants that expands itself through blood isn't very good either. If they ignore the supernatural, then they'd ignore anything that didn't fit their standards of normal, and that includes mutants.
Comments from author:
I know he wasn't a mutant. A magical stone, created by Cyttorak did it. Thats sorta why I had magic do it in this instance again. I thought it connected them pretty well.

I can't understand people in Sunnydale personaly. Some live in the know, while others heads are just filled with hot air. But the thing is, they don't know about evil monsters. They would assume anything strange they saw was there heads playing tricks, or maybe a mutant did do it. Whos to say?

Review:
Not a bad idea but I always did feel the Xmen and Buffy-verse do not match up at all. Sure some one can come from one dimension and end up in the other, or some mutant powers turn up in Buffy verse but they do not match at all. You just can't have the mutant hating public and the same 'blind eye' to the supernatural at the same time imo. They would notice vampires and claim their mutants, much same for demons, witches and such to.

In the big picture of things they just don't blend at all, and it shows badly in this fic any time wanted have a 'anti mutant' person start ranting. Sunnydale the capital of blindness reacting so openly and obviously is just a bad job, former demon Anya being so 'pro human' is also abit weird. I do love the Juggernaut though and I think giving Xander it's powers was pretty interesting, as was activating his mutant by magic. Though given what I know about he X gene.. that it's activated by stressful situations you would have to ask yourself how in the heck could Xander not activated his by then? He's been in more life and death situations then almost anyone in the Xmen world.
Comments from author:
I dunno what to say, I think Xmen and the B-verse do indeed match up pretty well. We've seen moments in Buffy and Angel where characters had powers that weren't magical, or demonic, simply there. Unexplained. Well, mutation is always an easy answer. As for the Xmen side, they had magic in the comics. Hell, Storm did battle with Dracula if I remember correctly.

People in Sunnydale are an odd mix, so blind one moment and the next totaly in the know. Snyder knew, the chief of police, many others. Maybe it was because Wilkins clued them in. But in the end they knew. And lied. So its hard to know what people there see and don't. Anya in this season was very selfish, very new to being human. But she embraced it. Its not hard seeing her embrace the ugly parts too.

The Juggernaut isn't actually a mutant. He was a man, Xavier's brother, who got his powers through a magical stone. I was trying to connect that part of the comics with the B-verse. Magic did it, twice.

I hope this answers some of your questions.

Review of chapter "Rise of the Juggernaut" from QundraDraconum
Review:
I've seen Xander son of magnito, xander child of mystic and sabertooth, and general Xander the mutant, but I think this story portray's Xander better than any of them. He's huge, powerful, and impervious to harm, yet he doesn't let it get to his head. Anya, sad as it seems, is fairly accurate for this part of the series. She gets better latter on as she learns to care, but at this point she is callas and self-absorbed. I hate how you ended it on a cliff hanger however. Does he catch faith? How does he handle LA? Are the X-Men called in for the 'rampaging mutant'? Does he just pile through them after they try to stop him from finding her? Is she the one that calms him down, does he calm her? I read a review that you were almost finished with a sequal a couple years ago, I really hope you post it.

thanks

I'm glad you liked it. I try to do new things, I don't like following the crowd. There are too many Xander/Wolverine stories out there. Sure, its easy to make them. They have alot in common, and do infact look similar in alot of ways. But I wanted something different.

Alot has happened in the last few years, I joined the Marines a few years back, was stationed in Japan, Iraq, so on. Its hard to write fiction with so many things going on. I've pretty much left this as a stang alone. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and sorry I couldn't review sooner.

Utterly Awesome.

The characterization is perfectly done. I love how for once Anya was the bad guy and the rest of the Scoobies were the good guys.

On a side note, any word of a sequel?

extremely well done. good characteriszation, good plot, good detail, very good execution. I hope you continue this soon as I'm very curious how he and Faith will work things through and if there will be any repercussions for him walking through town.

Review:
i just found this story by way of reccomendation of a friend... and let me say firstly wow...

your characterisation is spot on, i love the way you portrayed Xander's growth and the problems that he now faces, right down to the bigotry he now faces from the 'normal' inhabitants of sunnydale... the scene with spike, anya and xander was absolutely hilarious... i'm almost dissapointed that Xander didn't rip spikes arms off.

it would be very interesting to show Xander going up against Adam now... especially since he's now bullet proof and pretty much impervious to any damage.

i hope you do write some more for this fic, the premise is more than intrquing and i can't wait to see how Angel, Cordelia and Doyle (maybe?) treat him... that could prove to be a very interesting scene... maybe he will catch up to faith and bring her back to the light side... or maybe the bigotry of others in LA will change his mindset a little more towards the 'grey' area that faith lives in...

again please carry on with this fic :)

This is a completely awsome story! I love how Xander is portrayed. I wasn't so happy Anya had to be so...awful, but for the sake of the plot it had to be done. Again, great story!
Comments from author:
Yeah, I think I did a pertty good job with Xander in this one. Well, as for Anya....most of the time Buffy, willow, ect get to be the 'bad guy' in terms of Xander's all out exsistance. I wanted them to be on his side for the whole thing, to suppost him in this change.

I'm glad you liked it, thansk for the review.
