Review of chapter "Loose Ends" from DieselDriver
Review:
This story was bucking for a recommendation till the ending. Pretty anticlimax. All of it was hilarious till the last chapter then it went dark. I really enjoyed the humorous situations and conversations. I like good endings. I've seen enough bad endings in real life and I don't want to read them. I hope you clear this up in the next story in the series.

I love your Faith/SGC dynamic. You get major kudos for avoiding the usual "instant trust" thing, and for great Faith and Jack dialogue.

Review:
*whistles* I have to say that Giles truly deserved what he got and quite a bit more, actually. As for poor Paul Davis, that guy just never seems to catch a break!

Thank you very much for this, I'm looking forward to the rest of the series! Here's hoping you keep coming up with more stories in it too, because you characterizations were spot on and the story itself was a wonderful read.
Comments from author:
Thank you! :D Not everyone agreed with you about Giles, but I do have my reasons for his behaviour. Reasons that shall eventually be revealed.... Mwa ha ha ha haa!

Ahem.
Sorry.
Got carried away.

I'm really pleased that you enjoyed this story and I hope that you continue to do so. Your reviews have reminded me of the fun I had writing Twinkie and Lost and I'd really like to know what you think of the other stories in the series. I should warn you though, it's going to get darker from here on in. Also, the next story, Visions of Vampires was the first in the series to be written.

Thank you for reviewing.

Ah, good old Major 'Disaster' Paul Davis! Love that guy!

Don't we all? It wouldn't be a disaster without Davis. :)

I love that Faith is unwilling to accept the pardon and Carte Blanche for any possible future infractions. Nicely done! *runs off to read the rest*
Comments from author:
Thank you very much! :) *curtseys* It seemed to fit in with her quest for redemption.

*rolling on the floor laughing* Ah, poor General Hammond! He's always having to deal with the fallout from SG-1's adventures. Love this story!

He insisted on coming in person to clean up Jack's mess. ;) Thank you so much for your reviews. *hugs*

Yeah, any reports of "strange creatures" would most definitely ping on Homeworld Security's radar. Really looking forward to reading the rest of this.

I've always liked that organisation... it has such a nice all-encompassing ring to it. :) Glad you enjoyed.

Review:
Great story! I really enjoyed the wrap-up, and I fully intend on reading the next story in the series as soon as I have time. Keep up the fantastic writing.
Comments from author:
Glad you liked it! :D Especially since you liked it enough to leave me a wonderful review! *hugs* There's certainly plenty more to read when you have the time, and much more to come when I have the time to write it. At the moment I'm on a slight hiatus while I write a factual account of the 1642 Siege of Portsmouth but I hope to be writing fanfic again soon.
Thanks again!

Review of chapter "Cavalry" from draconis
Review:
I just realized you did a Corporal Walter (Radar) O'Reilly mannerism. I've always wondered how many others saw this character insertion/homage in the series when the "Walter" character was first used while SG1 was still airing.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
“And it’s, uh, Walter,” Walter replied, pushing his glasses up his nose with the hand that wasn’t clutching his clipboard.
Comments from author:
Sorry, but I have to admit that having never seen an entire episode of M.A.S.H, I had to go away and research the reference. I noticed the SGC's Walter (who I dearly love) using the mannerism and copied it from that. I should probably give M.A.S.H another chance (or at least read the book) now that I'm older and my tastes have changed. :)
Thank you for reviewing. :) I'm really glad to know that my homage to StarGate's homage to M.A.S.H was spot on. :D I hope you enjoyed the rest of the story.

Just discovered this. I'd read "Visions of Vampires" before, but somehow missed that it was a series. This was great! Loved the way you handled everything. :)
Comments from author:
Yay! I'm really pleased you liked it. :D I only got round to writing Lost at the end of last year, so it's not surprising that you missed it when you originally read Visions. Writing Lost and fitting it into the series was lots of fun for me! :)
Thank you for leaving me a review! :D

Review of chapter "Loose Ends" from Gideon
Review:
Great story! I liked the blend of comedy and drama and action. It was certainly interesting to see the different approaches to interrogation by the SGC and NWC and the SGC never did get anywhere with Faith did they? Not before Hammond came to 'rescue' her anyway. Good thing she took pity on them and gave them the spiel - pity they don't believe it!

I think I like this story better than the others in this series, maybe just because I know the characters and setting better or maybe because it is a bit lighter (what with them really being on the same side) and not quite as slow. I do hope you continue with them though because they are also good stories even if not quite so easily enjoyable. Maybe your experience with this story will start to shine through in later chapters!
Comments from author:
Hi Gideon!

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. I did type a reply a couple of days after you reviewed but the form buggered up and it never got posted. Then I got distracted by leaving the country. Still, better late than never, right!?

If I'm honest, Lost is probably my favourite of the series too. It's short, sweet and light. Neither Visions or Slayers can be described as short! They do still have elements of the comedy which saturates Lost, but it's more diluted by drama and character development. Mind you, I think that my experience with Visions and Slayers is what made Lost so good. Well, I like to think it at least. :)

Don't worry, I am still carrying the series on. At the moment however, I'm in New York! Which is so not my native city or homeland. Fortunately I brought my laptop so I'm hoping to finish tweaking the next chapter of Slayers and post it before I fly back on Thursday night. However, my itinerary is pretty crammed, so it might be that the next chapter gets posted next week.

Thank you so much for reviewing and I'm really sorry it's taken me this long to get back to you.

Review:
I am so glad that I have a few other stories that I follow, or else I might just tailspin into a deep depression with the ending of this one. It's been such a good one!

I find myself disappointed with Giles (all over again) for his refusal of help and the subsequent tragedies and secrets. The whole of LA disappearing is something that I look forward to you explaining and resolving . . . eventually. Mostly, I look forward to more Slayers in Space (of course). And you know that you will have a better time in NY if you post an update first so you don't have to feel guilty about leaving us. =] You'd think I was a stereotypical Jewish mother with how well I do the guilt thing, huh? Actually, I am a mother (as you know) but I'm not Jewish. Don't let that stop you from letting the guilt get to your muse so that we get that update. =D

Edited to add: Well of course I am. After all, I am actually an AU version of Faith myself. Or is she an AU of me? HMMMMM. =D
Comments from author:
Phew! I was starting to worry that I was your only fix and that I might be causing your children irrepairable damage. ;)

Really glad you liked the story, since of course, you're mostly responsible for it. I had a lot of fun writing and posting it, which I think you could probably tell. :) Managed to finally resolve my issues about Giles' policy of non-involvement too. Grrr! I blame him!

Wow, you're almost as good at guilt-tripping as Faith! From Friday, I will be cracking on with Slayers in Space. If I have to divide the episode into two chapters in order to get one up before the 25th, I will. :) I'm hoping to take my laptop with me but I don't know if I'll get time to write. Gotta lot to cram into a few short days... :D

Thank you so much for all your reviews. *hugs*
