Review of chapter "Wait what?" from djhardim
Review:
The way these things work usually is that Aunt May is saved, only to be struck down a week later by a car driven by a guy on a cell phone.

Review:
The Beyonder's timing was a little off. If he had been smart, he would have persuaded Peter that revealing his secret identity on national TV was a bad idea (I think someone had already written a story to that effect).

As I recall, one of the major points of the deal was that people would forget that he was Spiderman.
Comments from author:
Yeah, but I though the showing his identity was a ballsy and good move. I liked Civil war and though it was interesting. I liked the move to show his face, I felt it showed his faith in Tony and in the act.

Also in this universe that won't happen, but Peter and M.J. will adapt.

I put off reading this as I expected to hate it (don't ask). I'm glad I went ahead and read it and I'm very glad I have no idea of the source material your using for this (Peter did what to MJ?).
Comments from author:
I'm glad you don't hate it ((i kind of want to ask)) thanks for the shinning review. Also In Civil War Aunt May ((The woman who was in essence Peter's mother)) got shot. Despite going to Reed Richards, Stephen Strange, and others no one coudl fix he simple bullet wound.

So Suddenly Peter Parker was approached by Mephisto ((The devil of the marvel verse)) who said he would cure his aunt for the price of his marrage meaning no one would remember him getting married to Mary Jane. He said it was because he would enjoy the little bits of their soul in hell being tormented because they couldn't remember each other, however it was stupid.

Earlier Peter had with help from Stephen Strange talked to his aunt's spirit, and she said she was happy to die, and okay with what had happened and that she was proud of him.

Then instead of telling the devil to go screw himself, Peter AGREED, he traded his marriage the love of his life for in essence a dead woman who would die again in a few years. It was really REALLY stupid.

I have to agree with everything you've said in here and in your responses to reviews of this story.

But seriously, giving Quesada a swirly?
That's too pleasant.

I'd lock him in a room with Ultimate Hulk, after dosing Ult-Hulk with spanish fly.
Death by snoo-snoo!
Comments from author:
That might be a decent punishment. And I'm glad you agree.

Review:
BRAVO! BRAVO good writer!

Thank you! That gawdawful storyline was so horrendous that it made me yearn for the clone saga. It may have been stupid, but at least it had good writing...er...wait, that wasn't right. But their stupid idea of making Peter more able to "relate" to a younger audience was incredibly stupid. Instead of showing an excellent adult relationship, with all the bumps that come along they turned him into essentially a pissed off, bitter divorcee. Joey Q should have had his head dunked repeatedly in a toilet for letting that happen.

Thank you, thank you for writing this!
Comments from author:
Yeah, I understand they wanted to make him separate from Mary Jane, but seriously the only way to do so was have him make a deal with the devil?

I mean seriously ounce I read you review I was going to say "They could have done a thousand things" but theirs no reason Norman Osborn couldn't have abducted the real Mary Jane and "killed" a fake in a car bomb or assassination. Heck they could have even "killed" the real one and said it was a copy or something. Heck they might have even been able to say they "Killed" her when it was in fact a Skrull copy that had replaced the real Mary Jane at some point earlier.

I'll admit none of the above ideas are amazing, their literally things that popped into my head as I was typing them. But I'm willing to bet money on the fact that ANY of the above ideas would have been 1 better accepted by fans, 2 Made more sense, 3 been more in character.

I think the biggest problem with One More Day is that Peter chose he CHOSE to give up Mary Jane. Peter Parker has NEVER given up something. He's gone against hell itself ((Not literally although I may be forgetting a case of where he did)) to help his friends, allies, and to prove with great power comes great responsibility. I mean he's stood before Doctor Doom, Galactus, The Hulk, all of these things with the help of his friends, and yet for his Aunt who SAID SHE'S OKAY WITH DYING he turns his back on the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT ALLY HE HAS?

Just reading it I was like "That's BULL" I honestly tossed the comic across the room. I was SO pissed.

I mean that woudl be like Giving Frank Castle the ability to get his family back but all the criminals he'd "Punished" woudl come back and be guaranteed to live for a decade. Frank would be TEMPTED who wouldn't be, but then he'd tell Mefisto to suck him and shoot him in the face with a silver bullet.

I mean I can honestly understand, I've lost a parent and love my remaining one dearly, but I wouldn't trade the woman I love for her. I haven't met my woman like that so it might be a bit different but it's no, it's just stupid what they did. I could understand if Aunt May had been dying of somethign slow and painful maybe if they'd made if a five issue comic where she was dying of something painful screaming and such, but the way they did it it was just so stupid.

I honestly hoped it was a last minute decision that they were going to have him tell Mefisto to f*uck off, and changed it, but no. And for that I think they should all be fired.

It also pisses me off that Reed Richards, Stephan Strange, and probably others COULDN'T FIX A BULLET WOUND! I mean seriously, a normal surgeon can fix a bullet wound most of the time if the person survives long enough and the tissue is repaired. Your seriously telling me Dr. Strange one of the best surgeons in the world couldn't fix a FREAKING bullet hole? He couldn't put her in suspended animation while he repaired her then speed up her body's ability to regrow tissue? Reed Richards the man who can make a hover car, can't build a machine to remove bullets? And instead of trying even a blood transfusion with Wolverine ((Which I'll admit is a long shot)) he made a deal with the DEVIL? All of the superheroes on earth are totally screwed if one of them get's shot? Good to know all you need is a nine millimeter bullet and you can kill all the heroes if you happen to shoot them while their not guarded.

And thanks, I figured Xander was a good person to slap some sense back into Spidey. He probably has the same ideas and has been tempted. I wanted someone who could identify with the need to help other.

Good job! Xander shaped au-s and crossovers can be good by Xander just being Xander.
Comments from author:
Yeah, I figured Xander would be a good character because he understand the whole "deal with the devil" thing. I also figured it would be another case of Xander helping someone literally strong enough to break him in half. I figure he'd understand better than most the draw of a deal with the "Devil" but still be able to point out why it was a bad idea.
