Yay! It's always fun to get more of this. A part of me is still looking forward to having Harry and Hermione show up at Sunnydale.
Comments from author:
Harry and Hermione won't be showing up for several chapters yet, since the Gang are going to be addressing the Big Bads' status before they can get a chance to prepare themselves.

Check the dates in the various chapters and you'll have an idea about when they'll be showing up.

Review of chapter "Chapter Three" from Cateagle
Review:
Yeah, it's getting interesting now that Buffy's got some folk to back her up. It should get right interesting as she combines Slaying with what she's learned from Hermione's memories. I daresay Sunnydale is going to become a much more interesting place shortly. Methinks a number of folk are going to be horribly surprised at how things seem to go awry for them.
Comments from author:
There are a *lot* of implications about all of the Scoobies having access to the memories Buffy received, and I'll be showing them in upcoming chapters.

Needless to say, the bad Guys aren't going to be accomplishing what they did on the prior timeline, unless they are prepared to go to a great deal of additional effort. ;-)

Review:
I enjoyed this a lot, really enjoyed seeing Buffy able to get pas those initial moments of suspicion with Willow and Xander and will look forward to whom all they might be able to get to and help out before they get the short end of a stick that the show runners loved to do to what seemed like audience faves, including Xander seeming to get the short end hard in the later comics.
Comments from author:
Well, all I can say is that I'm trying to show intelligent people who actually think about the consequences of their actions and plan accordingly, and not simply do things without any thought of the consequences..

Glad you're enjoying the story.

Review:
I'm happy to see another chapter of this - gave me an excuse to reread the whole thing again. One question on timing - as near as I can tell, the contents of the first story in this series take place within the same summer as this story is. So... are we going to see Hermione and Harry make a showing in this story?
Comments from author:
Yes, but 'Justice' and the other two Scooby Gang-centered stories take place in the same summer, so Harry and Hermione won't be appearing until later in the story.

MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
... {ahem}

Excellent, though short... then again, you could write a 10,000 word chapter and I'd still think it too short, sooooooo..

Liked the mind share - even though it made sense, I was NOT expecting it for just that reason. The proposed addition to their advanced knowledge also makes sense, although I wonder why Buffy hasn't been trying to figure out a way to get Faith out of her current hell on earth... Maybe she's waiting for somebody to show up like Giles did in the other Timeline.

Not that there's a reason for a Watcher on the Hellmouth at this point since there's no Slayer there... Speaking of adult help, will Buffy use her brain this time around and bring Joyce in early? 'Cause otherwise it seems to me she's risking her mother's life needlessly by withholding such information.

And both Faith's and Joyce's situations WOULD occur to Xander as soon as he has a chance to think about his new-found knowledge, IMNSHO, so he'd bring up both ASAP - probably to Willow's disapproval about Faith, what with her to-my-mind-hypocritical attitude toward a girl she never really even tried to get to know...

EDITED AFTER READING REVIEWS: FRAK!! I forgot about Tara and her mom!!

Save The Mothers!!

Save The Southie!!

Save The Cutie Sweetheart!!

Save The Future!!

.... Despite the fact I never really like 'Heroes' all that much, it's still a cool catchphrase...
Comments from author:
Glad you're enjoying the story.

And all I can say at the moment is that plans are being made to address all of their friends *and* enemies, and you'll see how they start to implement them in the next chapter.

Review:
Nice chapter. Now we are really getting into the meat of the story. After the second chapter, it was a bit weak still. And, the wait kind of was no fun, but now that you've added this chapter it's much better.

I did enjoy rereading all three stories to get caught back up.

I wonder if the Watchers Council will be able to force another Slayer to awaken? That would solve a lot of your problems as the author to smooth out inconsistencies. Especially since the newly called Slayer would likely be the one who would be prophecied to die. This would not only get rid of the Council brainwashed Slayer, but would also bring in Faith, who is much more fun. And Sam, her watcher dying with her would also drag in Giles if the gang doesn't get to Faith in time to save her watcher. They would also feel more inclined to trust that Giles could be weaned away from the Council. Especially if they give him his memories also.

Then we get into all the fun that is added into the mix by Harry and Hermione joining the gang! This could really be a kick ass story. Lots of potential to drag a dark series like Buffy (even with it's humor it was very dark) into a lighter one with out compromising the humor. I've also always considered the Harry Potter story to be more of a Grimm Brothers kind of Fairy Tale, than the little kiddy ones that have been cleaned for our children now-a-days. The fact that you've shot the bad guys in the foot so well that they are no longer overshadowing the story is a big plus in my book. I always hate it when authors try to meld bad guys together to keep them going in crossover stories. Though, given that the Powers That Be are involved, there is always the possibility that old Moldyshorts will make a comeback. Can even see it happening with a disgruntled British Gringotts Goblin being the patsy.

As long as you don't overshadow the good with the dark, it probably doesn't even matter.

I look forward to more from you.

Great Story!!!

Glad you're enjoying the story.

The Council can apparently only locate the Slayer, once she's been Called, so I don't see how they could force a new Slayer to be called until the current Slayer is found.

And the Scoobies have some general plans for how to deal with the Council and their other enemies, which you'll see starting in the next chapter.

Review of chapter "Chapter Three" from SnakeFox
Review:
Just finished reading this and the two preceeding stories. They're all excellent! Just one little nitpick - Harry's constant calling Hermione "beautiful lady", and Xander's constant calling Buffy "pretty lady". Neither one really sounds in character to be used all that often. Maybe once or twice, sure... Sorry I know that's a crazy small nitpick, but it was the only thing that really drove me nuts throughout this otherwise ridiculously well thought-out offering. I mean, neurosyphillis? Slow, subtle, progressive brain damage compounded by PTSD? Genius.
Comments from author:
Well, Harry is extremely appreciative of Hermione's rescuing him from the Dursleys, and he does know that there isn't any woman out there who doesn't appreciate being called beautiful, as long as the person saying it is sincere, so he's saying that to constantly remind her how much he cares about her and appreciates it.

And Xander is initially quite nervous and uncertain about things after hearing Buffy's version of future events, so I see him saying that simply as a way of ingratiating himself to her.

And I was trying to think of a reasonable explanation for Buffy's continually deteriorating relationship with the people who'd helped keep her alive for six years, while growing closer to someone who'd tried to kill her and her friends numerous times years before, and who'd stalked her and even had a robot sex toy made in her image, and all I could think of was ongoing and increasing brain damage, so that's the only credible explanation I could come up with.

Glad you enjoyed the story.

Review:
One thing is that Anya and Cordelia both 'did' love Xander.

Maybe try and become friends with Cordy, considering she did become a true hero. There's also the suggestion that Cordy's relationship with Xander might have been (partially) UST.
Comments from author:
That's true about Anya, and to a much lesser extent, Cordelia, in my own opinion, but right now, Anya is Anyanka, and they have no idea how to even get close to her, let alone destroy her power center safely.

Cordelia is not going to be ignored, but she's not going to be meshing with the group in exactly the same way she did in the previous timeline.

Thanks for more of this.

Add Tara and her mother to the list of people to be saved.

Hold off on killing the mayor. Don't eliminate him until they have to. They need to learn more about the power structure in Sunnydale. What would happen if the mayor were to suddenly die?

I would hold off on saying anything about the future to Amy, until the Scoobies Mk II decide how to deal with Catherine Madison. Considering what nearly happened to her daughter, could she become an Ally?

The Scoobies are a bit cocky right now. Let's face it, magically Buffy is a greenhorn. I doubt that they could handle Catherine right now. By the next chapter hopefully they will realize this and try to contact Harry and Hermione.

The Scoobies are going to need training and possibly empowerment. In retrospect, it might have been a good idea to keep Angel to help with training.

By now, Drusilla probably knows what has happened. It will be interesting to see how Spike and Dru respond.
Comments from author:
Everything you noted above will be addressed in the next few chapters, and I think you'll be quite surprised about how things will be developing. ;-)

Thanks for reviewing.
