I remember that song from about 40 years ago. For a very short story this was good ... still having a hard time getting the picture of Michelle Trachtenberg as a belly dancing harem girl out of my head. Going to read the next in this series. Thanks for posting this.

For some reason I heard the son after god knows how many years, then I say a vid someone had made and thought...DAWN!
Is the picture of MT as a dancing girl something you want OUT of your head? Now be honest!
Cheers, D.

Brilliant! I like it. And the phrases ‘exotic dancing’ and ‘exotic dancer’ are so cool and very neat to work with as well. :) I especially like this part:
The night had gone surprisingly well; Dawn had performed twice to her usual rapturous reception. Faith smiled as she thought of what Buffy would say if she got to see what her ‘innocent little sister’ did to earn money. The audience had been well behaved and showed their appreciation by throwing the dancers coins.
(I noticed that the word ‘by’ was misspelled as ‘my’, but I fixed it for you.)
Very awesome! :) Keep up your super-cool writing! :)

Thank-you.
I find that every now and again these by/my things sneak through no matter how often you check for them. The problem as I find it is that the human mind does corrections in your head so you don't notice them. Of course no ones yet made a spelling/grammar checker that'll pick up on that sort of thing. This why beta's are so handy!
Once again than-you and I can't see myself stop[ping writing anytime soon. Its such a fun and cheap hobby!

Dawn really overdid the use of the word "like" but other than that, this was a great little story to get me back into the Faith the Buff Barbarian mindset. I enjoyed it and look forward to the next tale of adventure and silliness.
Comments from author:
The over use of words like, 'like','wicked', 'much' and so on is for comedic effect only. I actually watched and listened to Dawn very closely recently(Season 7) looking out for her use of these words. She actually says them less often than I suspect most teens her age do! I recently heard a teen use the word 'like' every other word in a sentence!
Anyway, enough of this, Faith the Barbarian starts today (Monday) assuming I don't forget. A tale of religious cults, settees, wayward daughters and world domination...MAW-HA-HA! Also much silliness and of course buckets of blood.
We hope you enjoy.

I haven't read the story yet - I don't have time right now, I'll read it later - but I have to point out that the Hollies' song is really called 'Stop Stop Stop'.
Comments from author:
I think you're 100% right...BUT, I think most people know the song as 'Stop all the Dancing' or 'Stop, Stop, Stop, all the Dancing'.
Lol! Nice little tale. Once again, you actually made me feel just a bit of sympathy for the poor dumb vampire. Well, at least he had good taste in sexual prey. If only in the visual sense and not combative sense. But, golly gee, Dawn needs to turn her 'perkiness' down from 11. Lol! And once again, I've now got the music of Modern Major General running through my brain.
Comments from author:
It is my purpose in life to torture people by putting tunes in their heads MAW-HA-HA!
Far from turning it down I think Dawn should crank it up!!!
Cheers DaveT.
