Excellent story! There are some mistakes with their and they're and such, but nothing that really bothers me. I think you really made the characters justice, great work on John and John-ifying Xander, actually great work overall. Worth reading for anyone that like Simon R. Greens Nightside.

Enjoyed the read and you captured the atmosphere quite well. I suppose as John Taylor-lite. Xander can do alot of good, but perhaps changing the wardrobe would be a good thing.
Still hate that Kendra keeps dying in most fanfictions, when she can become a very good almost-original character.
Looking forward to reading the nest story. Will he be living with Cordelia, getting his own digs like the abandoned Church or a warehouse somewhere?
Keep up the good work.

Definitely one of the best series currently posted on TTH. I think you do a great job of examining all the characters and finding their strengths and weaknesses. Amazingly you do it without bashing any of them. I love the new darkess in Xander and can't wait to find out what's lurking in the shadows each time he uses his gift. Perhaps the Mayor isn't nearly as in control of Sunnydale as he believes? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Xander's romantic interest to be Faith, and can't wait for her to arrive in town. I love your take on Angel.

Thanks for the review, it's always nice to get feedback. The new, darker Xander will be explored later on as well as his whole dynamic with the group. Actually, a lot of what you mentioned will be answered in the next part so I won't spoil anything here. Thanks again.

I'm disappointed that you're keeping the standard Xander/Cordy arc running. There should be some larger changes including who he is attracted to. I'd expect him to be looking for someone much closer to Susie than Cordelia.
Comments from author:
Don't worry, while there are times when I like a good Xander/Cordy thing, this won't be it. I just think they work off each other well and she has the complete lack of tact that brings forth Xander's, well, Xanderness even with all his changes. I do have an idea of someone he might be with, but that wont be till much later.

Interesting take on a Xander's Halloween gone horribly wrong, but in a good way for the world at large if not the people directly involved. Looking forward to more when you are ready.

I'm so exited someone had finally written a Nightside crossover! It seems just the kinda place the Hellmouth could grow into, with even worse monsters. The gang finally has a chance to realize they aren't the toughest kids on the block for growing up on the Boca Del Inferno. And John is an interesting complement to Xander, the mentor that would have led the kid in better direction then he went in cannon.
You captured John's voice well, and I can't wait to see how you write Xander's. The way you described Sunnydale and the happenings so far were refreshing, not stereotypical in anyway. Lovely story!
Loving the story. Very good explanations as to why you didn't use certain characters. I'm going out on a limb here. Xander is one of Lilith's children and John's possession of him activated his ability that is much like John's. I wonder how John will deal with having Xander for a brother? Hopefully, I'm right, but, if I'm not, no problem. Looking forward to more.

Excellent, though I expected Razor Eddie. I figured that he could dimension hop and find John easiest. Of course, it would have been real fun to have Suzie 'Oh God, it's her!' Shooter with him, but you can't have everything, can you? Looking forward to more.
