That's gotta be one of the suckiest types of vamps to have to slay, second only to a loved one. It's good that he helped reaffirm that she *didn't* have a choice - unless she wanted to feel responsible for any people the kid-vamp killed later. I could easily see it going the other way if the person watching weren't as insightful.
