So, Methos can't sense or doesn't know that the Mountain is holy ground? I'm not sure if all permanent US military bases are supposed to be on consecrated ground of if it is Indian Holy ground. Make it easier because no challenges can happen on the base. Some nice characterization here.

LOL! Loved the Jack - Methos quippage. Nicely in character - esp. the way Methos doesn't spill the beans on absolutely everything. Hope you'll write some more. Thanks for sharing!
Love this more with each re-reading, and particularly the 'smart-ass' bonding between O'Neill and Methos (not to mention Methos' warrior bond with Teal'c).
I also enjoy how, even when Duncan's nowhere around, he still plays a role in Methos thinking (about how much Methos feels he's been corrupted by excessive exposure to the 'evil Highlander' and his 'boy scout' ways)!

This is every bit as great as the first story. I particularly love the way Methos and Jack are bonding here, especially in regards to their mutual teasing of Daniel. I can also see Jack getting quite the run for his money in regards to Sam, as well.
Thank you very kindly for sharing this, I greatly enjoyed it and hope to see more in this series eventually, as plot bunnies and real life allow!
