huh... SO is Spike a 'now dead' type of vampire, but with a soul? or is he a 'living' one still. It's so confusing... that part about demon smut not sticking to Dawn is really interesting....

Didn't mean to make it confusing. I figure that once your dead, your dead, that's how it works in the Hollows. (I don't know if you read the hollows by Ivy, the living vampire, want to keep her soul after she dies, and Rachel is searching for a way to do it.) I really wanted to get more into Spike and why he is kicking, more or less, and why he went bonkers but I needed to get Connor and Dawn out of Ever-After first. I have a reason why the vampires all changed and why there are now living vampires now when there wasn't in BTVS.
Dawn and Connor do not know how long they have been gone or what they missed. Although Connor knows more than Dawn, which comes in to play at the beginning of the next chapter. So from their stand point they are kind of confused. Too.
I WILL explain everything next chapter even if it ends up 10,000 words. Promise.

In the future for BTVS but in present time for the Hollows. I'm trying to blend them together. That is a big chuck of the chapter.
