I'm laughing with glee over here, which, to be honest, sounds a bit manic, but I can't help it! I only sat through the first Hostel before deciding I was done with torture!porn - which is what that movie is. It doesn't belong in the horror genre, for the basis of the movie is to come up with the most horrific ways possible of torturing, maiming, and destroying the characters - and all while doing their best to make the audience squirm, gag, and retch by out-grossing every other torture!porn movie out there. Hostel, I thought, brought that genre of a torture!porn to a new level...
... and then you introduced Buffy and Faith! *grins* About time these bastards got their comeuppance, and since it so rarely happens in the movies, I'm glad that you provided a little fix-it for the movie in the way of this fic.
Well done! :)

Laughter is a good and fine reaction to nasties getting their just desserts. I watched both Hostel and Hostel II back to back on SyFy the weekend before I wrote this and I do admit that I cheered at the end of both films when their 'victims' got revenge. I've seen worse movies then the Hostel series, but those were definitely torture!porn. I gave up on the Saw movies after the third one for that very reasons.
I'm always curious as to how a Slayer would react to some of the big bads of the movie industry and sometimes I think the bad guys would win and other times, like this, our favorite Slayers would come out on top. Glad you enjoyed it and thank you for taking the time to review!

I am glad to say that I haven't seen the Hostel movies, and while I never had any intent to do so, this has further strengthened my resolve. The depths to which humanity can sink to never fails to sicken me.
Having said that, I can't help wondering if there are others in there who would need Slayer saving, and if the Chosen Two come to the rescue. I am all for "necessary" violence in the defense of the innocent/helpless.

I've always been a little more fascinated with human villains rather then the supernatural ones. We don't really need to invent monsters when the world is already speckled with them. The Hostel movies were indeed rough to watch and I wouldn't recommend them to everyone.
There were others, countless others in the actual movie, but whether or not Faith and Buffy took the time to save them is up to the reader to decide. Thank you for taking the time to review.

This was probably the only movie I've seen that bothered me. Torture for just the pleasure of it is messed up. So thanks for this cross. I wish they had Buffy and Faith to beat them.

Hostel was up there with gore, but in all honesty I've seen worse. Stay far, far away from Korean horror movies. ;) I think the lead did pretty well for himself towards the end and I did so love that moment of revenge at the train station.

Dang! Now this story was hard core. This was also a great bonding experience for the Chosen Two. Lol! Glad Buffy kept her ear. Won't the village be surprised when two naked blood covered Slayers come out of their dungeon to play. Lol!

I was aiming for the same emotions the movies can invoke. :) I do think Faith and Buffy will be closer after this experience and hopefully Willow can reattach it. In all honesty I'm curious to see what would have should they run into the bubblegum gang. Thank you for taking the time to review!

This makes me want to watch Hostel. The only thing stopping me is that I'm not a fan of gore at all. That's a big hurdle.
Comments from author:
Hostel is pretty much all gore, very little plot. The only reason I watched them was because they were both on SyFy last weekend and my plans for seeing Alice in Wonderland fell through.
I much prefer suspense/horror over gore/horror. Thank you for taking the time to review!

I particularly enjoyed how Faith was the one to find Buffy-- I love Faith :)
Comments from author:
Why thank you!
I think of the two Faith would be the one more likely to keep her head and save the day in that particular situation and I do so love it when Faith's given the chance to shine. I'm glad you liked it and thank you for taking the time to review!
