I'm going to have to chime in and agree with the consensus here. Your story was very cool and I'd love to see more, I miss this show, and the finale was a total clusterfuck of wtf-ness, pardon my french. Thanks for writing!

Thanks. ;-)
And as is obvious, I thought the series finale was made of uber-suck!!!
Which is why I wrote this one-off.
More depends entirely on how my use feels about it. (shrugs.) I'll see what she feels like doing.

hey jon got to say I love FK one of the best vamp seires that have ever come out (and it came first before all the others) if anyone wants to learn more about the show go to Hulu.com and plug Forever knight into the search it takes you right to the show psge and they can watch full episoids. but better hurry cause Streaming rights for Season 3 will expire on April 4, 2010 at 11:45PM PST.

I also like the whole "stop noticing" vibe in the method of (forgive me) execution present. I mean, let's face it, whatever vamp did this pulled a drugging version of the murder method in Humberto Eco's *The Name of the Rose*.
Given vampires, this may not be all that coincidental..

Thanks for reviewing.
And I was trying to make the plot bunny vague enough so that pretty much any supernaturally-based series out there coudl be merged with it.

Thanks for writing a fix-it that makes a lot more sense than what happened in the show. I couldn't believe that Nick could fail to bring Natalie across when we found out earlier in the season that even a DOG can manage it. Which didn't make sense, but it's canon. So your drug idea is a plausible explanation. My own theory is that nothing that appeared to happen in any of the episodes after Vachon got sick in Fever was true--the rest of the season was all a disease-induced hallucination, and pretty much all the characters we cared about survived.
Comments from author:
I like your idea about Vachon having a fever dream/nightmare, adn I might follow up on that idea in the future. ;-)
Nice, I was a big fan of the series when it started airing on Sci-fi along with She-wolf of London. It sucked that ended on the note it did, but it was already a canceled series when I first starting watching it.
The writing was enjoyable as were the actors in the series itself. It was one of Canada's finest shows along with Highlander, Andromeda and of course Kung Fu, the legend continues.
Comments from author:
FK was an excellent show, and I was quite disappointed when it was canceled. Canadian TV has given us a great many low-cost shows that captured my imagination, and I'm always looking for more to follow.

I loved Forever Knight and I hated how the series ended. I would love to see more of this universe.
Comments from author:
I'm hoping someone will pick up this idea and run with it. If no one does, I might be follow this up with another story, but I'm overrun with plot bunnies at the moment.

This pretty much works on another supernatural level that doesn't contradict the series. Good job. Thanks for sharing!
Comments from author:
You're quite welcome.
I wanted to create a setting so that if anyone did pick up the plot, they could choose pretty much any supernatural series available and be able to make it mesh with this story.
