Not familiar with "Have Gun Will Travel"? Oh my, we'll have to remedy that, even if you never write Paladin into a story! If you do a search on Youtube using the phrase Have Gun Will Travel episodes, you'll pull up several. I would also suggest a Google search on "Have Gun Will Travel". Gene Roddenberry wrote some of the best episodes of this one and I'm willing to bet that you'll love the series.
"In all my life I've only seen a dozen real killers, but I've seen ten thousand people that would stand by and let it happen. Which is the greater evil?”
Paladin in Have Gun Will Travel (episode "The Hanging Cross", written by Gene Roddenberry)

'Have Gun Will Travel' sparks some vague memouries from when I was a small boy and before they invented colour! The last TV western series I can remember watching was 'Alias Smith and Jones'. I don't think British TV has shown any Western series since about that time (I could be wrong of course I might have been out of the country).
I absolutely LOVE the idea of Faith being sent back in time and that she's been made a US Marshal. I hope you decide to write more western crossovers with Faith, there're a lot of stories to be told. I'd particularly love to see her run into Paladin, or vice versa.

Not familiar with 'Paladin' I'm sorry to say. But you're quite right the wild west has plenty to work with, I might try and do one or two more stories, we'll have to see.
Great story and - as i've come to expect - thoroughly original.
As to your query in another review,
"Do you remember a film, I think it was a made for TV one where this guy is looking through some old photos and he spots a cowboy with a revolver that wasn't made until after WWII or some such? If I could remember the name of the film I'd use it as basis for a fic. Thanks to your comment I've already got an outline for a opening chapter in my mind."
I might be wrong, but I think this refers to one of the Back to the Future series.
Comments from author:
Thank-you for that.
I did some searching and the film I meant was 'Timestalker' made in the late 80's. Unfortunately it's not available on DVD only VHS. But of course one of the BTTF films was set in the Wild West so we might have something there.

Johnny Cash and Faith, it's quite a good match, oh yes indeed =). See ya!!. E.T.A.: The first Kenny Rogers country song that came to my mind was "the coward of the county", and somehow I can't imagine Faith or one of her sons being the main character, so maybe "The gambler"? It's one of the best Kenny Rogers songs=). See ya!!.

Cheers, next, Faith and Kenny Rogers maybe?

I'm not familiar with the song in question, and I'm reading this on a phone so am youtubeless. Therefore, I mentally substituted in the Ballad of Rockridge from Blazzing Saddles, which seamed to work. Good job as always.

Cheers, you'll never know just how close this came to being a story about Faith setting up a laundry business!
'Big iron, big iron, when she tried to press the trousers with the big iron on her hip.'

Wonder what happens when Giles finds records of Faith in the Watcher files - or is this a new universe where Faith, Giles, etc. will be different?

Yet anther excellent story. But I will NEVER EVER hear the term "cow poke" again without either wincing or giggling. I remember listening to that song when I was a little kid and thinking it would make a great movie. But I never imagined it being the basis of a great short story with an icky girl as the hero. Lol! I hope there will be more adventures of Marshall Faith in the future. With all the Western movies and songs in her past/future, Faith must be hearing her own background music all the time. Lol!

More adventures of Marshal/Marshall Faith? I've had a 'hankering' to do 'The Outlaw Faith Lehane' for some time and whats the name of that film with Gene Hackman as the baddy and a female gunfighter who's, 'come fer the man who shot m'pa'...? I've got it on DVD somewhere.
So many ideas and so little time to write. All I can say is, 'I'll see how things go'.
Cheers, DaveT.
