Hmm, you know, when I first saw this fic I was like, 'Wow, what a brilliant idea for an underused crosser' because, honestly, when was the last time you saw Buck Rodgers crossed over with ANYTHING? It's hard to copy Mel Blance by writing (Try doing writing for the Road Runner some time.) I checked with my copy of Buck Rodgers, and that was as close as I could come.

The NK missles were targeted at US bases in Japan, plus Japan itself.

For future reference - other cities mentioned in the first season include New Detroit, New Manhattan, New Phoenix, New Tulsa, Boston Complex and New London. A "City-on-the-Sea" was also mentioned as being the former New Orleans.

I actually did a fair bit of research before I chose the size of the explosion. I started with how big I wanted the crater to be, then used one of those effects generator the anti nuclear weapons put up on the web to figure out secondary effects.

You can't go by the effects of the devices on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the cities were largely built of wood and paper and were hideously vulnerable to thermal effects of an A-Bomb, they weren't knocked down by the bomb, they burnt down from the fires.

That's gonna be a interesting debreifing for both sides.

If even one vamp gets out of Sunnydale and makes it to an inhabited area, things could be of the bad. Though I'd imagine there are already some hiding out in the 'badlands'. Maybe Drusilla survived? If anyone could, she would, seer ability could allow her to avoid the bombs etc.
And hey, Angel & his gang will be showing up soon.
Hm, in the long run Spike would do better letting himself be examine and being all calm & rational and non-violent-y. These modern day saps would fall for it big time, and they'd have that chip out of him in minutes as a violation of his human/sapient rights. "How barbaric!" and all that.

Yeah, I think you could be right, on the other hand, there are enough people around that know Spike to insist that it would be a bad idea to do it. Angel will probably be showing up next chapter.

There are going to be a lot of confused people around after this. I guess the scoobies will hopefully adjust better than most, seeing as how they are used to weird stuff.
