An intense reading! Poor Bobby. I think he would want revenge on the vampire who killed his partner!!

Loved this story.

I don't know why but i love the idea of Bobby/Buffy as a pairing.Whether it's romantic, friendship or family, I think they would work well together. After reading your story, i believe that even more.
Comments from author:
Well, unfortunately, I'm am a hardcore original BtVS S3 shipper, so that's not actually going to happen. But I do invite you to read the rest of the series just to see what does happen because I'm really happy with what's come out so far. Perhaps some input from you would give me direction on how to get where I want to go regarding some things.

I will caution/ask if you've watched any of The X-Files or, especially, the X-Files movies? Mulder and Scully play a BIG part.

Ack! Thank you for reading and reviewing, I deeply appreciate it.

*This* one made my day. I'm still brassed off about the mongolian cluster f@#$ that will be the first 2 episodes of the new season of LOCI - I'm not blaming Goldblum for this and will see ep 3 to give him a chance, but I'm likely done with the show once Goren's gone [I think they're going to kill off Ross, though - if they know what's good for them!] Great write up of the Might-have-been of how they'll write them out - and the story's a fine addition to TtH - we need more LOCI!
Comments from author:
*squeals* See, the thing is just...idiotic. They had a perfectly fine four-person cast. And then I was very slowly able to enjoy Noth, not-nearly-so-slowly Sciorra, and REALLY SLOWLY Nicholson.

And, then they decided to simply start fucking everything to hell. First Carver's gone, then Deakins -- now Goren and Eames? They don't want viewers, simple as that.

So. No more for me. I'll get those seasons on DVD, but no more new episodes after the premiere. Honestly, are those people on drugs? Because this is the desperate act of a wildly unrealistic person, to quote a movie I enjoy.

Or just idiots.

Nice work. Sounds like Bobby is in need of a change and Buffy is definitely the right person to send to sympathise.
Comments from author:
Thank you and thank you for reading. I was hoping to go that angle with their meeting.

You did an amazing job with this. Buffy's words to Goren were honest and real. "Take her with you." Wow.

Giles was right on the money about the NYPD not knowing what they had in Goren.

There were great little touches, like Barek hugging Goren, and the lyrics to that song.

I love this show, I've watched it for a long time. I'm not at all ready for the season premiere. *Shudders* Oh, it will not be of the good.

A sequel to this would be great, but it can definitely stand on it's own. Wonderful job. Thank you for writing this.

Comments from author:
It just so happened, I was listening to Bayside when the idea was like, 'DING!'

I've watched as much of all the seasons as I could, having missed some here and there.

But, at the same time, I'm ready for the ritualized character assassination of Goren to end.

Put the poor man out of his misery. Their hypocrisy about writing his story the way they did and then saying they wanted 'lighter fare' for USA, or whatever, was absolute bull.

So, yep, Giles and Buffy zero in and scoop him up.

I'm so glad you enjoyed this, that everyone who's read it so far has -- it's such a nice treat.

Adoxerella knows why it's extra special. *glee*

Nicely done, I don't watch much L&O anymore, but its good to see people playing well in that sandbox...

Comments from author:
I'll be watching until the premiere, as previously inferred. Why they don't think their ratings are going to drop right to the center of the earth with this idiotic move, I don't know.

Your ability to pound out a coherent, gorgeous story in one night will never cease to amaze me.

Lovely story dear, and even though I'm not as familiar with L&O:CI, the emotions of the piece still rang true. Thanks for sharing this.

That's why they're oners. Those seem to agree with me better. Speaking of food, I should eat breakfast. I've already gotten birthday text messages...

Wow. Just ... wow.

L&O: Criminal Intent has always been my favorite of the series.... I was immediately drawn to Goren and Eames - how well they played off one another, each with their own specialties that bolstered the other, the friendship they shared. I remember how ... lost .... Bobby seemed when Alex was out on maternity leave (sadly, I haven't seen any episodes beyond season 4) ... and you wrote out that connection beautifully. I'd definitely love to see how Bobby deals with the Watcher's Council - and how they deal with him. A frighteningly high intellect - coupled with the drive and determination he's shown in the past? - the supernatural world won't know what hit it.

Thank you so much for sharing.

Comments from author:
I'm tempted to tell you, in all honesty, not to watch any further. Spare your bliss!

*sighs and laughs helplessly* Thank you, I'm so glad someone enjoyed it and got out of it what I hope you did.

I'd love to do a sequel, really. I do wonder how many series I can write at once. I'm at three right now -- should I make it four?

Keep in mind, if I write this, I probably will ignore the canon comics for both Buffy and ANGEL simply for my own sanity (BtVS) and convenience (ANGEL).
