Absolutely love the story. Xander's commentary is exactly why I hate the Anita Blake series. By the time I found it the later books with her screwing everything that had a Y chromosome in the tristate area it seemed just really turned me off from the series. About the only Anitaverse I could stand are a few fanfictions where Anita seems to have someone to keep her grounded and not go completely nuts. Werewolves = Bestiality, Vampires = Necrophilia

It's too bad this is a one shot cuz it's hysterical!
I am proud to say that I have NEVER read any of the Anita Blake books, and never will.
It's just too bad that Xander couldn't accidentally on purpose leave a Xerox copy of his letter to Giles where she could read it.....long after he's returned to his own universe of course.

Lol! Yes, I really hope Xander's messages to Giles are privacy protected. After all, who in the Buffyverse do we know who sleeps with vampires or werewolves? Lol!
Setting aside the minor point that a HUMAN mouth is a bacterial cesspool, why would anybody kiss a being that probably ate roadkill an hour ago?—EWWW. Good point. I will have a very hard time romanticizing vampires again haha
Yeah, I’m with you. Used to love Anita but since book 7 they’ve pissed me off. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve still read them – partly b/c I’m always hoping they’ll get better and sometimes I like the lesser-used characters- but grr. The latest one, Flirt, I picked up and honestly couldn’t get past page 8. Flipped through and glanced at later pages and realized that book is a lost cause.
Whooo boy! I loved this! This is honestly how I feel about the books. I finally gave up around book 8 or so when it became 395 pages of porn and 5 pages of plot. Thanks for writing this, it was brilliant!

Considering the serial killer in question is likely 1) an acquaintence of Anita's, 2) in agreement with every single point Xander made, and 3) quite rational about his killing to the point he'd be a good partner for Dexter, the odds of Xander getting that ride are fairly decent.
..Yeah, him.

Ah, I knew there was a reason why I never "got around" to reading any of the "Anita Blake" books. I managed a couple "Merry Gentry" books, and they degraded into smut, more smut, and not much beyond smut before the end of even the second book, so I just don't trust Hamilton enough to stick to any non-smut plot line long enough to finish it. Thank you, Xander, for your delightful insight into the series!
