Comments from author:
After they take off again, yeah; but the series finale of SGA did have them splashing down within sight of the Golden Gate Bridge. =) Glad you liked the story!

Really great (and thanks for linking to the other author's story "Belief", which for all its proofreading problems was a delightful addition to this crossover universe).
I do hope you'll be inspired to add more installments to this series some day.

"the advantage that a race capable of both science and generative faith might have over one with only the former, given time to develop; how the Alterans' worldview might compare to that of the Asgard, whose rush to suicide had profoundly dismayed him..."
Love this. I don't know how I overlooked it when first posted (except I hadn't yet seen the movie on cable yet, nor had I read any of the books, so I suspect I skipped over it on the assumption that I wouldn't get it), but I find this whole perspective on the power of human belief PLUS scientific achievement (and the part it might have played in the whole startling lack of helpfulness of the Ascended on SG1, not to mention the upswing in natural disasters of the past decade) absolutely riveting.

This has all the signs of being an interesting story. Keep it up!!
I think it's a great story idea to bring a water based power to Atlantis and to not make it the responsibility of the Gods to keep oppressive protection over the Earthmen who go beyond their reach.

I don't know anything about PJO but I think this fic is brilliant for how you wrote Daniel. It was thoughtful and true to the heart of the character. I also love that he will finally get to be the commander of Atlantis which is what he should have been from the start.
