Review of chapter "Chapter Six" from Tweeky
Review:
Good to see that you've finally updated this fic and how Buffy is finding it increasingly difficult to fit in Middle-Earth with Legolas having built most of their ship, giving Buffy her gift only to have them thrown into Earth poor Legolas. I suspect they've been deposited into Sunnydale but the question is how much time has elapsed on Earth since Buffy has returned? Anyway I hope we don't have to wait months if not years before you post chapter seven.

PS: What was the stone that Legolas had faceted and set in a neckless that he gave to Buffy (And transported them to Earth) as it has been years since i've last re-read "Equinoxium" and I don't recall that detail.

I'll do my best not to make you wait too long to get some of the answers to your questions. Thanks for the review!

I love character driven fiction. It works best if the characters are consistent and they're placed into situations where they have a chance to show why you're even bothering to write about them. You've managed to do that--make them consistent with canon (to the extent that fanfiction can be) and get them into situations where the reader has NO idea what is going to happen next. When they act, it's in a manner that makes sense for that character. I'm looking forward to reading more of this--because situations change, people adapt, and you show this beautifully.

Thank you so much for the insightful review. I always love hearing from readers, but particularly from those that take a moment to leave reviews such as yours. And I'm especially glad that you're finding everyone to be staying within character. There is nothing that ruins a story faster for me than OOC behavior.

Thanks again! :)

Wow. I never saw this turn of events coming. I've been wondering if some threat would prevent our heroes from sailing from Middle Earth or if your story would take place in the Undying Lands, but this certainly came out of left field. Your fine stories do some pretty awful things to my favorite characters and make for some difficult reading at times, but I've always respected your decisions and enjoyed your writing. Now having braced myself for what ever Middle Earth can throw at Buffy and Legolas I have to worry about what our own world might dish out. I'm sure the situation will be dire if Buffy's help is needed. And poor Legolas will be the stranger in a strange land for a change. I so enjoy seeing new updates to your story and thank you again for the time you put into this.

Well that was quite a cliff hanger you ended on! I did not expect Earth to play a part in The Fading, so it's got me wondering; is this a quick pit-stop or is the majority of the story set there? (California, I'm guessing?)
I'd always wondered just when the Buffy/Legolas romance started so it was lovely to get a small glimpse of it's beginning. If you ever decided to write a one-shot, time permitting of course! I'd read it in a heart beat.

Thank you for the lovely update.

Thanks for the review - I'm delighted to see that I'm still able to surprise some people, and that the story is still being followed. :)

Oh man, the first one was awesome - depressing, but awesome. Here's hoping this one will be a little cheerier, eh? Buffy and Legolas deserve their happily-ever-after, even if they gotta fight for it.

PS - you had me cry over Mirdan during his supposed death, and actual death. And I usually hate OC's. Thoron got a few tears too, he and buffy must have gotten a bit closer over the years I take it?

Review:
Well played, Eldarion.
I hadn't really thought about it, but I suppose even with a Númenórean king, the people of Gondor might not be comfortable with a person who does not age but appears mortal. You really do have to feel for Buffy.
Comments from author:
Yeah - Buffy really seems to always be on the outside. Even in Sunnydale, she never quite fit in. Unfortunately, the same is true in Middle-earth where she's constantly on the outside, looking in. At least now she has friends and loved ones that help make it so that otherness, the idea of being an outsider, no longer matters.

So happy to read another chapter. I was smiling at the end thinking of Legolas scolding Buffy for taking risks.

Hooray, more!
I found the original Equinoxium fascinating for its boldly unique aspects (what a clever hook with the blood) to match the great emotional introspections. My immediate reaction to seeing there was a sequel was ''Why? It felt complete," and it was, but to turn those same introspections of death and, in this chapter, Buffy's 'other-ness' while she still showing her vitality and life through her teasing with Elor, um, ...the king. Curious to see where you go with this journey - and that's from someone who's personally never been big on Legolas shipping. ;-)

Thanks for the wonderful review! Hopefully I won't keep you waiting another year + before I get to another update. The story is fully plotted - it's just a matter of finding the time to get it written. :)

First off thank you for the update, I hope things are going well for you :)

Our first Eldarion POV and he is just as awesome as I'd expect him to be (no surprise considering his parents), his reminiscing about his childhood was fun and I really liked his noting Buffy's unchanging appearance and the continuing mistrust of the humans in ME concerning it, which is good continuity following on from the first fic. There was also a nice contrast between Eldarion the king doing is duty and Eldarion the son who is grieving his parents deeply.

Looks like there's going to be a bit of a domestic between Buffy and Legolas when he arrives! And I bet Gimli will have something to say about being ditched as well. Buffy better start rehearsing her mea culpas.

As always I'm eagerly awaiting the next update.

Thanks so much for the wonderful review! Things are going very well - busy! Active one-year old and another one on the way, combined with a wonderful husband, adorable puppy, and a full-time job. LOL - I miss my free time.

But that being said, I'm glad you enjoyed Eldarion's character. While he is in no way an OC, he also happens to be a completely blank slate. It was fun putting my own take on his character.

Thanks again!
