I just reread this story from the beginning - I'd forgotten all the atmospheric little details you'd included. From Tara's shutting down her ranch to Gates wiping down his water cup, you make everyone *real.* I can see and smell the horror.

And another re-started old favourite. Lindsey has joined in? Neat! Maybe this time he'll be able to keep his hands and other extremities all to himself...
Comments from author:
Not really restarted. It's just that I rotate through my unfinished stuff and add chapters until something clicks or another story worms its way to the forefront of my brain.

I just reread your whole story and want to thank you for a darn good read. I really am impressed with how you are fitting the various BtVS, Crow, Dark Angel, etc characters into the Stand. Your characterizations are interesting and I have no idea of where your version of King's story is going. But I do look forward to more good reading.

This was a very surprising (in a good way) filler chapter - cannot wait to hear what happened next!

Ah Lindsey. everybody likes him. Lydecker and a few kids from his little encampment might be an interesting addition to either side. And if he sides with Flagg, maybe Max & her pals will defect.... Prof. Walsh maybe building Adam could be fun.
Comments from author:
The kids are too young (not even technically born yet) to have any effect on the story except as a factor in Lydecker's attitude. Lydecker, not Max or the rest of the X-5s, is the real crossover character here.

I'm loving this story more and more. How old are the X kids? Is this before or after Max and her team ran for it?
Comments from author:
This is taking place during the end of BtVS Season 2 (May 1999 for this part) so they are all still in the artificial wombs. The kids ran for it in 2009 and Dark Angel series took place in 2019.

I like how you're weaving these together. You've even maintained the creep factor for Flagg. I loved reading the Stand, and this is shaping up to be that kind of fun. Thank you.

Lydecker is a punk but he does care about 'his' children. Unfortunately his idea of what's 'best' for them will probably send him to Vegas.

And so professor Walsh is joining the fray, which means that Adam might not wait too long in coming. Oh dear, Buffy and others should really pick up some new talent or else they just might get into trouble.
