Ah, there's the full background I was looking for! I don't feel quite as down and depressed about the nature of this 'verse as I did before I read this bit and I really like your Hank Summers (the later seasons of the series really put me off of his character).

Thank you for sharing this fabulous 'verse, I'm greatly enjoy reading in it!

I enjoy this series. This chapter was well done. I especially loved the insights to Hank and his actions and the meeting between Hank and Buffy. Well done. :D

Love it! I'm so glad to see you are continuing to play in this universe. I can't wait to see what comes next. I hope there is romance in Buffy's future.

Poor Buffy, I'm glad she has eventually recovered so well, and she has her Kids and her Parents looking out for her.
Looking forward to more in this verse!

Review of chapter "The Emissary" from SlowMercury
Review:
I love this series, and I love your Hank. I hope you choose to write more about the Summers Clan, with its three human members and six adopted kids (including Megan, who seems to be some kind of bird, and of course now I want to know what kind :) ) and twelve non-offically-named Summers adults and the four kids who can't chose yet. I would really, really like to see Hank and Joyce with their grandkids... especially scenes from early on, when Hank hasn't yet accepted Luke and Jeremiah into the family and then again after the issue's worked out.

Anyway, very nice work. This is a fascinating look with nice worldbuilding in the Anita Blake verse.

Thank you so much.

There will definitely be more of the Summers Clan. The next fic which I've started already (but still in very early stages) is a fic set not long after Buffy and Luke meet. I suspect there will be more than a few fics. :D

Review:
Simply fantastic. I have always wanted to write a story where Hank Summers is not the worthless man that Joss painted him as. Where he stays an integral part of Buffy's life. I just don't know if I could do it half as well as this. Again, fantastic. Thank you for writing this. 8)
Comments from author:
Thank you! I'll confess to being more than a little nervous posting this fic. It sat completed in my writing folder for well over a week before I finally decided to bite the bullet and post it.

There will be more... eventually. Possibly after June 1 (when my exam is scheduled).

Review of chapter "The Emissary" from Christanan
Review:
I really didn't see that twist coming, but it makes perfect sense and it's also a great reason to keep her away from the vamps. You've made me more curious about Hank and Joyce in this universe, and how they came to accept Luke and the others in Buffy's life. I'd love to see more Luke and Buffy in the early days or whatever you feel like writing. Fabulous story.
Comments from author:
Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

The twist is one that I had in mind when I wrote New Dawn and I couldn't bring myself to change it.

There will be more fics over time. The next one planned will be about Buffy and Luke in the very early days.

Review:
Okay, first, I *love* that Hank is a good father here! Second, your explanation for what caused Buffy's mental break is so incredibly on the money, I can actually see it happening - if AB were a TV show. It's just phenomenal! Two thumbs waaaay up!
Comments from author:
Thank you! That reason was the only thing that really made sense to me. I was a little unsure if people would accept it as a valid reason, but it's worked out well.

Review:
This story is not like one of your epics, or have alot of action in it, but damm it's good!
Comments from author:
Thank you!

And yep, this is well out of my comfort zone, but it's a good challenge (and break from epics).

Loved the story. It's nice to see a likeable Hank. And I liked the explanation for why none of the kids (or Hank for that matter) will let Buffy go near a vampire. Well done.

Review:
Wow, I just gotta say wow. Definite credit for a likeable Hank. MORE SERIEs PLZ!

I have this image of things going perfectly okay, and then when the Mother of Darkness comes by, Buffy goes psycho, Slayer, and overprotectiveMama, and then the psychic backlash causes a split which saves Dawn from some horrible death.
Comments from author:
Thank you! Writing Hank was a little more difficult than I thought it would be, but it seems to have worked out well.

Review of chapter "The Emissary" from superbrutal
Review:
Personally I prefer fics to encompass all of the Scoobies, I assume in this fic they are non-existent.

Regardless, you had a really interesting twist that I hadn't seen done in before.

I hope that you do very well.
Comments from author:
Thank you for your review.

I usually write fics that have an ensemble of Scoobies, so this is a first for me. Unfortunately they are non-existent in this 'verse, mainly because I am sticking to the rules of the challenge behind this series which was no Scoobie-shaped friends in it.
