Beautiful. Even as I read it, I corrupted it with "low" magics, based on the laws of sympathy and contagion, of the definition of Holy, etc, etc. I guess that's just the way my brain works. The fic itself was wonderful though, and I applaud your brilliance.

Great story, but you forgot to metion Faith and Dawn. They also played a role in shaping Xander's life.

Thanks so much for taking the time to read and comment! Much appreciated.
I actually didn't forget Faith or Dawn. This piece was about the women Xander had lost and how their lives *and* deaths had shaped him. While Buffy is still around, she did die twice; Faith and Dawn are still very much alive.

What an insightful story! Your observations on what each woman meant to Xander were beautiful and bittersweet.
I loved all the different things they each taught him. Cordelia's section was my favorite.
There is one thing you might want to change. When you talk at the very end about what each woman gave Xander and how he'll carry those lessons with him, you don't mention Anya like you did before. You probably forgot her, so I thought I should tell you.
Wonderful job! I love your stories!

Thank you so much! I can't tell you how much your kind comments mean to me, and I'm so glad you enjoyed the story!
I actually didn't forget Anya at the end; I had meant to infer that her lessons to him were such that they underlined all the others, but I don't think I communicated it very well. I will most likely revise, as I certainly don't want people to believe I forgot her. I love Anya!

How could you not like Xander? Absolutely, amazing story. I'm still in tears.
Did you also write Voice with Xander and Joyce singing? I've been looking for it for the last year at least. If so, please let me know where I can read it again.

Thank you so, so much!
And yes, I did write "Voice"! Wow, that story was *forever* ago, and I'm surprised anyone remembers it! I took it down a while back, because it was riddled with plot holes and had too much character bashing. Besides, after Xander's singing in OMWF, the whole plot device really didn't wash. I'm so glad you remember it with fondness, though! :)
