Review of chapter "Half a Sky of Stars." from Geyer
Review:
What a great future for Xander! I like the way you handled him, too--completely in character and very believable. This is much more satisfying than what Whedon did with the comics. Thanks for improving on canon.
Comments from author:
Thank you so much - I found that I really wanted him to escape and have a life of his own!

Review:
I really liked the sense of distant emotion in this. A nice reminisce.
Comments from author:
Thank you - I thought he deserved to get far enough away that he could achieve exactly that; distant emotion about something gone, passed, remembered without searing pain any more.

Nice story. Good to see Xander content with a normal life.

Thank you - I'm glad that it works for you, too; I think he deserves a life where he is appreciated for himself.

Review:
This was a great story, highlighting how we would have wanted some of the Scoobies to grow post end of series. I think you really captured the essence of the Xander that could have been.
Comments from author:
Thank you - I'm so glad that it worked for you. In my heart this is how it was for him - he grew up and became a good man with a good life... of his own.

Review of chapter "Half a Sky of Stars." from MavenAlysse
Review:
That was lovely and sweet. I appreciated Xander's "growing up" as it were - the letting go of grudges, the past, and making a new life for himself. One that doesn't totally forsake the old, but definitely looks forward to the new.
No recriminations. No bashing. Beautiful.
Thank you so much for sharing.

Thank you so much for commenting - I thought, in the series, that he was likley to reach thirty with liver damage and looking at life through the bottom of a glass - unless he let go of his anger, got away and became his own person. This was my way of letting him do that.

Review:
Now that's Xander making the right choice for a change. You have to be nuts to want to spend your life fighting vampires, and he isn't.
Comments from author:
Thank you. That's what I felt, too - I really began to dislike him during the series and I wanted him to have something better.

Review of chapter "Half a Sky of Stars." from Malu
Review:
Nice, very nice. I do like stories where at least one of the Scooby-Gang really grows-up. Thank you.
Comments from author:
Thank you so much - I thought, when I wrote it, that I would rather think of him at thirty with a life of his own, than staring into an empty glass; which was quite possible I thought, after the series ended... he deserved the right to grow up and follow his own path.
