Review of chapter "Assignments" from disadventurer
Review:
Really glad I saw this fic. Been trying to read some stories about Angel but I can't seem to find any good ones. Will be waiting for the next update. Also I read your replies on the reviews and you said Angel's soul escaped from hell twice, but I think that Liam wasn't necessarily evil, he's basically Sock only int he 1800's. Anyway just my opinion, I'll still wait for the updates. Good luck!
Comments from author:
Sorry about the lack of updates. I've been struggling with writer's block and unemployment. As for Liam...well yes, he was basically Sock in the 1800s. Sloth, however, is still classified as one of the Seven Deadly Sins. Not one of the really bad ones, but if it dominates one's life...

Thanks for your explanation about Angel's escape. I was thinking about Acathla, but yes, your way with the soul curse makes more sense. Although it means Angel's soul went to hell, which given his human lifestyle is certainly possible. (But Angel did not remember being in hell for it.)

About this chapter, you captured the Angel gang well, too. And I think you do a decent job explaining them to Reaper-only readers too, without boring the Angel fans. (Are you planning to post it on Reaper boards?)
And yes, the vampire without dental insurance stays funny :-)

One thing that struck me was that you had Gunn bringing up selling their souls. Is this a reference to the episode Double or Nothing(?) where in the past he sold it to a demon for his car, and now try to do the same with the devil to make the plan work? Well, guess I'll have to wait and see what the next chapters will bring.

And I know I'm over thinking things, but shouldn't the souls name be Liam? Because when Angel was Angelus, the soul was *not* there...
Comments from author:
It's both a reference to Double or Nothing and a typical "Gunn loves comics" moment. He's referencing Hellblazer, but his own history makes it rather...more important on a personal level.

As for the name...the name of the soul is Angel(he changed his name when he was an ensouled vampire). Plus, remember that the Devil doesn't tell Sam everything. Ever.

The Reaper boards...I don't know any, so until I do, then no.

For everybody...the next chapter is going to be called "Research." And the vessel will be revealed.

Seeing this story makes me miss Reaper and Angel all over again the CW never should have cancelled Reaper and the WB never should have cancelled Angel. Oh well can't do anything about it except vent.

Hoo boy...

I'm not sure what's the more terrifying prospect; Angel's soul being sent to Hell, or the thought that Angelus would regain control?

I guess all we can do is hope that Sam sees Angel in action- and hence NOT committing brutal murders- BEFORE he tries to take his soul...

Keep up the interesting work!

Review of chapter "Finishing a Job" from MBB
Review:
I'm glad I cought this fic in the latest-list. I was just looking for Reaper crosses last weak and noticed there were handfull, wasn't expecting more.

You have the reaper side down very well, in fact it felt so much like the show I was wondering for a few minutes if you had written down a scene from the show :-D

However, I don't remember Sam (liking to) call the devil 'dad'. Is it set after season 2, or did you it to make their relationship clear to people new to the show?
Admited, it's been a while since I saw Reaper - then again, it's been even longer since I saw Angel....

Speaking of Angel, you brought up that he escaped twice... does this mean it's set after season 5? And in that case, oif he is just an escaped soul, is he still a vampire?
Anyway, looking forward to the next chapter
Comments from author:
I'm having Sam call the Devil "dad" just to clarify their relationship, and because I'm setting the story post-season 2. The only change I'm making from Reaper canon(besides the crossover, of course), is that the last half of the last episode never happened. This is just because trying to work those events into the story wouldn't really work. Either the events set up a new story arc, or I hand-wave them. The former would be a completely different story, and the latter wouldn't do it justice.

As for Angel...I'm setting it after "Dead End," but before Pylea, so there will be no Fred(I love her, but writing her would be a pain), and Cordelia's visions are still killing her. As for the "escaped twice" bit, remember that the Devil wants isn't concerned with bodies. He wants souls. Angel died and (his body) became a vampire (soul went to hell), then he regained his soul(escaped from hell for the first time), lost it during BtVS season 2(soul went to purgatory), regained it and got sent to hell in the finale, and then escaped from hell in the beginning of Buffy season 3(the second time). Angel is unchanged from Buffy-verse canon; he is a vampire with a soul. Some people might be able to see what direction this is headed.

I'm working on the next chapter now; it should be up later tomorrow.

nice beginning hopefully Sam knows better than to trust anything The Devil says at face value and that there must be a catch.

Since I don't know the Reaper characters could you put a little more physical description in? I'm trying to keep track of the characters the young guys are Sam (son of the devil), Sock and Ben? Or is Sock an object?
Comments from author:
Sock is another person; I'll be putting descriptions of the three(as well as the Devil) in the next chapter. I'm thinking I'll have the two pairs of characters(Sock and Ben, Sam and the Devil) attempt to make fun of each others outfits/appearances.

I'm really enjoying this so far. I was expecting to see it jump right into The Devil giving Sam his Angelus assignment, but I like that you're bringing us more into Sam's world by introducing The Devil and showing us the end of Sam's previous assignment. It's especially great for those who never watched this wonderfully funny show before it was cancelled. (boooooo!!!!) This is reading very true to the show for me and I have to say I'm enjoying it a lot so far and can't wait for the crossover to start! Good Job!
