Review of chapter "Father (Scavengers of the Damned)" from mendenbar
Review:
Back again. Has this story been abandoned? I had hoped to read more of the interaction between Dexter and Angel (and some of the others you mentioned.)

Review of chapter "Father (Scavengers of the Damned)" from BlueEyedJedi
Review:
I always wondered how Dexter and Adam Meiks (The Movie 'Fraility') would interact. Both of them are serial killers who kill evil ones, and while their motives are different, they also both faced an older brother who was an unrepentent slayer of the innocent, and they both killed their brothers. I think they would fit well as friends.

Review of chapter "Disciples (Of All That's Human)" from RevDorothyL
Review:
You're doing a fascinating and surprisingly internally consistent job of weaving together some VERY complicated theologies and cosmologies from all these different fictional universes. Good work!

I'm finding Dexter's speeches sort of long-winded, and occasionally just slightly repetitive, but that may be just my own perspective, and given the scope of the task you've set yourself in this fic, those very long speeches are probably necessary, one way or another.
Comments from author:
Hi, thank you and thank you very much for reviewing! Yeah, I'm trying to decide which facets of which universes to work with, but something in particular keeps poking at me so I'm going to go with it or face terminal writer's block. I certainly hope you enjoy what my brain comes out with.

As for Dexter's speeches being repetitive, I put that down to his being extremely anxious at sharing this part of himself with so many people, especially two that are so close to him and that he could hurt very easily. He has proved in the past that that's one of his biggest fears about being the Dark Avenger, as proven in season two -- which addresses your other query. Remember when Dexter was agonizing over getting revealed as the Bay Harbor Butcher and every time he thought about Debra, Rita, or the kids, he'd go on and on and ON about how much it hurt them?

Honestly, if I drank, those thoughts would have had me plastered. You could honestly set a drinking game by them! So repetition isn't exactly a stranger to our Dearly Devoted Dexter. I just used it to my advantage, as I am wont to do.

Again, I hope you enjoy what comes next!

Cheers!

Review of chapter "Disciples (Of All That's Human)" from AnnaTheGreat
Review:
The stories that amaze me the most are the ones you never see coming; and wow, you really did that. I am all awe and accolades for this premise (not least because Dexter generally creeps me out so much I can't use him for anything literary), because you execute it so well. Can't wait to see which other situations you'll choose to let him interfere with, or when Angel will learn of his presence. 'Drama queen' indeed!
I wonder what Dexter would do about Quor'toth!Connor ...?
Comments from author:
Oh, so much to wonder about once I get there...

Thank you for prodding me along; ideas from other people are so very useful! Thank you so much for reading and reviewing.

Review of chapter "Disciples (Of All That's Human)" from Thedruid
Review:
Huh, interesting. I've never watched Dexter because of moral reasons (I'm sick the the glorifying of serial killers in modern society), but brining in the whole Dogma religous slant into it, has... I don't know. Guess I'm interested for the same reason I was interested in the Punisher story Arc where he gained some divine powers.
Comments from author:
I assure you, serial killers aren't at all glorified in the show.

Thank you for reading and reviewing. I'm glad you did, anyway.

Review of chapter "Dark Avenger" from adoxerella
Review:
Hmmmm, interesting. Yeah, I know you think that is a sign of a bad review, but you should know me well enough by now to know it is a good thing. I like interesting. It keeps my attention on the story in front of me, even when I am not sure of what is happening because I am not familiar with the cross.

So yeah, this story is interesting, and I like the clarification that you made to the story. It helps everything to flow a lot better and make more sense for the reader. I am not so distracted by the voice in my head going 'buh?' which is good.

Overall I like how this flows and I am intrigued to see where this story moves from here.
Comments from author:
*evil cackle* I always love getting your comments, especially on the crosses you have no idea about.

Since you're just that squeamish, however, I know there's no chance in persuading you to watch Dexter at any point. Such a pity.

I'm glad I could make a non-Dexter fan enjoy it as much as those of us who do watch.

Definitely an interesting new take on Dexter you've got here, to say the least; I definitely wouldn't say no to seeing how this universe develops over time...
Comments from author:
I can't wait either, since I was utterly surprised by the idea. It makes so much sense to me.

Thank you for reading and reviewing. I hope you enjoy what comes next, as well.

This was a really original look at Dexter and I enjoyed reading it.
Comments from author:
Thank you very much. I remember it all came to me in a rush. I think I'm going to enjoy lining up ANGEL canon with Dexter's in the timelines I've set forth.

Thank you again for reading and reviewing.

Review of chapter "Dark Avenger" from CPTSkip
Review:
I really, really liked your story. The idea of Dexter as the new Angel of Death sends shivers down my spine. And Deb does need to learn about her brother's new job. Excellent work and wonderful characterizations. The image of Dru trying to bless herself and burning a little each time is quite horrific.
Comments from author:
I'm so glad to hear that. After a season like the fourth, there needs to be some light in the lives of the Morgan family. This is going to get complicated, I have to say, but I'm planning some interesting things so far.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. I love them just as much as writing in the first place.

Review:
An interesting, and somewhat disturbing at the same time, idea, and yet one that manages to make Dexter slot into the Angel/Scooby-verse very easily.

Will we be seeing more of this universe?
Comments from author:
*cackles evilly* Well, they tend not to leave me alone so very probably.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing and I'm glad you've enjoyed it!t
