Review of chapter "the Butterfly's Path" from Harry
Review:
An interesting idea of Sabertooth and Psylocke being together. Victor can be a gentleman when he puts his mind to it. And if Betsy does need someone watching her back Vic can do it. Now, lets see if anything else comes from this relationship.

Very nice story.

Any chance you will get inspired to write a sequel or possibly have this story become the first part in a series?

Thank you : )

While I do not rule out the possibility - and yes, this could lead interesting places - I want to finish up a few more things on my Works-in-Progress list before I start any new multi-part fics or expand any one-shots into multi-chapter stories. The WiP list is just too long when you can't count it on all your fingers, thumbs and toes. (Once upon a time, I promised myself that I wouldn't get any more WiP's than I could count on my hands... ahh, the naive optimism of the new writer.)

mmmm, apple cake.

If you MUST feed the plot bunnies, could you at least try to feed the bunnies for currently in progress and being posted/partially posted stories? (The current list is on my fanfiction.net profile page. The listing of 'settings I'd like to play more with' is not posted.)

And if you can intrigue them enough they may help your problems. They're Team Butterfly. The mind soars. Other like minded metas joining Betsy and Victor. Wonderful idea.

I like the mercenary side of him in addition to the thinking part.

1) in one of the alternate timelines Marvel wrote, he led survivors in an Apocalypse run world as a good guy. It was the same one where Magneto wound up saving the human race.

2)He's not necessarily evil. Give him enough things to kill and enough money, he'll go forth to save the world.

Excellent AU - I really enjoyed its originality and take on the characters. I can just imagine them being a kickass duo! Thanks for sharing. :-)

Thank you.

I loved the What If? title that Marvel ran.

Its so rare to see Creed acting like a normal person. In another time, he and Betsy might have been good friends. Thanks for a interesting POV story.
Comments from author:
I loved the What If? series that Marvel ran. Think of this as something similar - a What If? minus the pictures. Hopefully I can keep it from demanding & receiving continuations or looks at what effects this has on others in the Marvel Universe until I can finish a few of my current WiP's.

Review:
The flap of a butterfly's wing can have consequences on the other side of the planet according to Chaos Theory.

This applies to Betsy.

Thanks for writing this.
Comments from author:
Combine that explanation for chaos theory with the fact that Betsy was frequently illustrated with butterfly effects when she used her telepathy and that's where I got the title.

A little change... two people not accepting job offers. What would happen?

Betsy and Sabretooth? This could be a very interesting arrangement, I'm sure. Thank you for the well-written and interesting story too.
Comments from author:
I try for interesting. This was an annoying plot bunny of 'what if this had gone differently? What if Betsy hadn't joined the X-Men? What if he'd told Sinister 'no' when Sinister tried to form his Marauders?'

Now that bunny is off with baby plot bunnies for what could happen next. sigh.

Have to say, I like how you write Vic. You do a good job at making him human, rather than the near-monster the comics tend to make him.
Comments from author:
Part of what has made him a recurring character is that - while big and scary and very dangerous - is that he isn't just a ravening beast, he's more of what you'd call a thinking monster. Sometimes. Some writers do use him as the ravening monster that can talk. There's been a lot of variation in the portrayals of Sabertooth/Vic Creed.

I prefer to write him as a person, not an animal. But not an ordinary person, and not someone who approaches everything the same way that Billy down the street would approach things. And I think that his views and responses would change over time, partially in response to the attitudes around him.
