Review of chapter "Chapter One." from Zarohk
Review:
That is horribly ironic that Willow, the only Jewish character in the series, ends up as "a slave in Egypt". On the other hand, she does then meets another lapsed Jewish witch.
Comments from author:
Actually I didn't think about that until after I'd writen it.

Yep Willow in the past started off a little shakily but she soon found her feet and went on to bigger and better things.

Cheers,
D.

Review of chapter "Chapter Ten." from SilverWave
Review:
Great story but horrific start with Willow.

Saying which it sounds terribly plausible given the time and the circumstances.

Recommended under protest :-)
Comments from author:
I see from your four reviews in my in-box this morning you're working through a lot of my fics for which I thank you.

Ok, I think there's four stories in the 'Back in the SPQR' series. They each start fairly badly for our girls, but I seem to remember that only Willow actually got raped.

The reason that I had these rather unpleasant starts? I wanted to show that the past isn't/wasn't a nice place. Definitely not the clean, fluffy Hollywood version of the past.

Faith wakes up to find herself tied up and guys talking about raping her.
Willow is raped by slavers.
Dawn wakes up and is almost raped.
Cordy finds herself in a cage.
Buffy is beaten into submission by slavers.

Not nice, but being a woman with no protector was dangerous back then. Also I had to get the character to where I wanted them, could you imagine Buffy willingly being a gladiatrix? I don't think so.

Anyway enough of my babble,
Cheers,
D.

Review:
Nice job on the story, but why not save Lucias?
Comments from author:
Thank-you.

Well you see he died at the end of ROME season two anyway and I sorta wanted Willow to hitch up with Pullo.

Cheers,
D.

Review of chapter "Chapter Ten." from maxthehobbit
Review:
I like Willow stories and this one is different, having to be a little evil-like just to survive.
Thanks for another entertaining few hours of reading.
Comments from author:
Thank-you. By the next story Willow has a much more settled and less threatening life style!

Cheers,
D.

Another masterful saga.

I would love to see what you'd do with this version of Buffy.

Yes that could be fun, I'll see what 'Sparticus B&S' is like when it comes out on DVD.

Review of chapter "Chapter Ten." from Sol
Review:
Isn't the rule that the longer a slayer lives the stronger they get? So Faith would so be able to kick her ass. Still B is the big bad...
Comments from author:
I don't know about a 'rule', but common sense would suggest the older a slayer is (up to a point) the more experienced she is so is more likely to win any fight.

Review:
Somehow, I picture a shadowy you, in full mad scientist regalia, in a dungeon laboratory, standing over an unconscious blond slayer on a slab, head and arms thrown up and back, screaming, "She's alive! She's alive! Bwhhhhhaaaaa!".
Comments from author:
Oddly I work at a university in a building where genetics research is done...I often advise people to take the mad scientist route!

Cheers,

Review:
Very well written. I did wonder, what's the deal with Anthony? Shouldn't it be Antony? It just really bugged me. Keep up the great work!
Comments from author:
Anthony/Antony;I checked up on that one and found that the spelling changed with which ever account you were reading. I went with 'Anthony' coz that's the spelling I'm used to.

Thank-you for your review, I shall do my best!

Buffatrix... Riiiiight. Someone's cruising for a bruising, I think.
Comments from author:
I hope so! Buffitrix and the Slave Rebellion, maybe? Buffitrix goes Pillaging? Buffitrix and the Fall of Roman Imperialism?

So many titles no good xovers.

Poor Lucius but I am enjoying the story so far. I wonder when the other shoe(s) will drop but I do hope Willow meets Faith before this happens.
Comments from author:
Next bit is very Willow/Faith.

That went well. Of course Fait will hardly recognize her, the Willow she knew was very very different... But I'm sure it'll all end happily ever after.

Happy ending coming up on Sunday!
