Thank you. I once read that the King had a major part to play in WWII acting as an advisor to Churchill and the other leaders. So it seemed only natural that they would have a more direct role. For the purposes of this story they are magical and powerful. I honestly believe they serve GB with honor and hard work for the most part. SO making them heros seems only fair and its intended to show respect and honor not to belittle and I hope most take it in that way.

Another great chapter and I am looking forward to more.

Thanks I am workng on it. I have started the next part but it maybe a bit before it is posted. I am fighting writers block again. Its rather annoying.

Hi FireWolfe, I'm enjoying this but you do have one error that is driving me nuts...

The President is the 'Commander-In-Chief' not the commander and chief... note the capitalizations, hyphenations and the replacement of 'and' with 'In'. I usually don't pick nits, but you use the phrase fairly often and because of that it became a bit grating.

No. Not like this. Not 'she wanted her mother, but knew that was not going to happen.' Not 'it wasn't fair.' As cliched as it sounds, you need to show, not tell. Let her wake up, roll out of bed and call out for her mom, with the oppressive, empty silence of the house her only answer. Let us feel Janet's absence. Show us the empty hole in Cassie Frasier's life that her mother used to fill. Let her eyes burn with unshed tears, and be afraid to give voice to that traitorous thought that comes again and again, like a relentless tide sending neverending waves of self pity to break against the rocks of her grief: 'Alone again.' Let her seek refuge in the comfortable numbness that comes when you've cried yourself to exhaustion. Let her grief grieve the reader, and above all, let it be a specific thing.

She older and I fear her time may be coming to an end. SO I want to take care of her for that time. Writing will have to take a back seat for now.

Just read this story again, and still Love it. Can't wait for the rest of the chapters to come. I hope Kinsey gets what is coming to him. With the SGC and the Council not liking him it will happen. :-) :-) :-) :-)

Very good story.
I can understand and see the reasons behind the conflict between the two teams, but I do hope that in time the will settle down and realize that they are on the same side. Especially Jack at the moment.
