I like this story and I'm glad that you are continuing it. However, this last chapter was .. sloppy. The name Methos does not mean death - in fact, in the series, Methos said he choose that name long after he had left the Four Horsemen, when he was in Ancient Greece. Methos is supposed to be the spirit of knowledge. Besides, if the name Methos was so closely associated with Death ( and his deeds as death), he would have abandoned it.

Okay. I think I read an earlier version or posting of this one. I just was curious how Daniel got access to watcher chronicles? I supposed he could have but there's bound to be a story behind that.

A nice little series of stories. I couldn't help thinking, as Adam was panicking of SG-1s possible reaction to his identity, that they'd accept him much more readily than he thought they would. Teal'c probably has a higher body count, from his years as First Prime to Apophis.
(Even if he really dedicates himself to it, there's only so many people one guy with a sword can kill. Teal'c probably nuked whole cities.)

*does the dance of joy* I was just rereading this series yesterday and wishing we could have more, only to check my email this afternoon and find this lovely story in my inbox! Thank you, this is an absolutely perfect end to the series with Methos being completely accepted by his new family. Though, that fourth story as a coda would be a poetic number to end with, if the muse ever decided to allow you to complete it...

Either way, I have very much enjoyed this series and have it saved in my favorites for rereading. Thank you so much for sharing it, it is greatly appreciated!

ETA: It tickled me pink that Daniel had run across some obscure and much debated text which mentioned Methos so that he knew exactly who it was when Adam told them his true name. I also love that the team accepted him straight away, which they of course would, all things considered. I think my own personal fanfic canon now includes Methos as a member of the SGC, often working with SG-1 (despite the fact that Peter Wingfield played a rather nasty piece of work Goa'uld). /fangirling

I'm so glad you posted this, and I continue to love the way Methos and O'Neill try to out-jack-ass each other at times.

I'd enjoy seeing the unfinished fourth story in this series sometime, if you want any feedback on that.
