This has much potential. I am a bit confused about him having the Dark Mark because I would think it is linked to Regulus' physical body and magic not Xanders. Maybe it would appear but, maybe it wouldn't as well. My opinion is that it would not have appeared as there did not appear to be any major physical change - unless he was foolish enough to actually draw the dark mark on himself as part of the costume...then all bets are off. Even then there is the question of intent - does Xander have the right intent to actually get the Dark Mark? If not wouldn't the magic reject him?
Anyway please continue this if you can!

So how come he kept the Dark Mark? Couldn't that be one of the things taken care of by the 'white glow'? Does that mean that he was always a Black. Come to think of it how did he get the costume anyhow?
This is yet another of your stories I hope to see more of. Hope this isn't a "Live In Hope Die in Despair" situation.
Thank you

Analysis - Xander fights the "good" fight. Having the Dark Mark on his arm - He's not going to be happy, in fact, I'd say he'd be down right pissed. So he's tired right now and all he needs is sleep, but when he wakes up, and having thought out the situation while he's slept and reviewed Regulus' memories... I'd say he's going to be even more pissed. And when he finds out that he really is a Black..... and meets Sirius. Oh the sparks are going to fly... good sparks - ie: in that when Xander hears the story of Sirius, he's going to be pissed about it.
All in all, a very good start, I look forward to reading more. And I hope you stay within the characterizations of Xander in Canon. Yes, I know this is AU, but still... I don't mind a "dark" Xander, but an 'evil' Xander is of the not good.
