Good to see that after all this time the Gods are still arrogant, condescending, and stupid when dealing with 'Lesser Beings'. I'd hate to think they might have learned any better over the ages. While their power should be feared and respected, they themselves still show that, as individuals, they don't deserve any. Especially when their identities are not known by those they are interacting with. Being impatient and upset by Giles' freak out is just one example of their 'might makes right' mindset. As does treating Buffy like the Council does, a disposable weapon that can be discarded and scrapped when it doesn't function the way they want it to. Buffy's rant at Xander is based on his track record as she perceived it, and he never corrected her or anyone else's perception either, was viewed as disrespect when anyone with half a brain would realize it was caused by genuine worry and concern for his welfare. Since I believe Willow has just arrived, will Xander take his new family to task over their shoddy treatment of his other family before or after they show their disdain for her as well? Or will he just let them get away with what I see as being reprehensible behavior on their part. Constructive criticism is one thing, but brow beating is another. The Gods need to learn manners. Even if it is only to Cordelia's level.

Great view. I;m trying to make the Gods be as they were in mythology where humans were viewed as pawns, disposable sex toys or cannon fodder. Even their own children in most cases

He still thinks like Joe Normal human huh? So that means that Xander probably gave a MANLY (never girlish!) scream, and jumped into Ares' arms. Ares probably didn't mind!

Cool! Xander has a family that loves and wants him! Now...Gaia said that Xander was 'needed'. That sounds something like PROPHECY to me. Now Xander and prophecy don't interact well. Xander has the habit of believing that he has to do whatever he can to make the right thing happen, rather than just bowing to prophecy. I wonder what he is expected to do, if it will be a good thing, or something that he feels the need to change.

Review of chapter "Meeting of the Gods" from kayron
Review:
Okay. Xander is whose son? All of them combined or just certain ones? What will happen when Buffy finds out that Angel is dead? How will the PTB react? They did have their own plans to use Angel as a Champion of theirs. What powers will he manifest? What will the others think of his new status? Since he is now godly, will he be able to throw bottled water on a vamp and have it act like Holy Water?
