It is, and it isn't... I initially produced it as a follow-on to "Making the Quota", to show what happened to the vengeance demon in that story. Basically, I had an idea for a story, then decided to run with it, while I still had the idea in my head. In the process, it became a lead-in/preview of the sequel to "Fate's Little Plaything" I'm planning.
Sorry if it cuts off rather abruptly, but I hope you enjoyed it so far anyway. It will be completed, but only when I write the sequel to my current story.

And now you absolutely much write the story of the downfall of the lord of vengeance demons. This series rocks, I will recommend the first story in it when I get another recommendation. I have to few recs so if I like a series I rec the first story in it. That is my way of recing the entire series. Congrats.

Thanks for this - might be a little while before I get around to writing the sequel, but I already know where I'm going with it.

Review:
Just read this story I must say great work & I like the clues you have added for us reading the main story ( Fates Little Plaything ) But I think this story may require a 2nd Chapter as it ended of a cliffhanger not a true ending .
A Fan Oddshot .

Thanks for the review - glad you enjoyed it. There won't, however, be a chapter two. This was meant as a bridging chapter into the story which will follow Fate's Little Plaything (I don't have a title for that as yet) and, as such, I can't provide a straight ending at this stage.

I missed this when it first appeared - glad I caught it now. Fun, and interesting hints of what is to come in the main story.
I've just voted in the second round of the CoAs. I still haven't voted for you in the category for which I actually nominated you, as my own story is still in there, but I've switched my vote to you in a couple of other categories in which my first choice didn't get through. I'm now voting for you in more categories than anyone else - and, now that it is possible to vote in the 'Best Crossover Story' category, I'm voting for you in that.
I had voted for you as Best Crossover Author in the first round but somehow you didn't get through to Round 2. I'm rather stunned and at a loss for who to vote for instead - of those who fulfilled the criteria for that category I thought you were an absolute shoo-in not only to go through to the second round but to win.

Thanks for the review - glad you enjoyed this. There are, indeed, more than a few hints of what's to come (some more subtle than others) in the sequel.
Thanks for your votes of confidence! I never really expected to receive multiple category nominations in the first place. I voted for you in two categories this time round (I also would have given you my vote for Olaf Through the Stargate for Best Portrayal of Other Character - the funniest thing I've read in a long time - but my own story is still in the running there). Good luck in the final vote.

No vengeance demon could have deserved it more. I find myself admiring D'hofryn's sense of humour. Although he may have outsmarted himself this time :) And there are so very many fun things they could get Tanya to do in the meantime, or for the next 50 years :)
Comments from author:
In fairness to Tanika, she always tried to find a way around the maiming and killing aspects of being a Vengeance Demon - which is exactly why she's in her current position. All D'Hoffryn may have succeeded in doing is placing himself squarely in the crosshairs of Cordelia and the Slayers' Assembly....
Thanks for the review - glad you enjoyed this one.

Just caught this and yeow! Willow is walking with a cane Anya is fully recovered (no cane). Cordy is the (a) Slayer. DiNozzo is afraid of Buffy over 2,000 miles away. Why?, weren't they doin' the nasty, that is, hooking up? Has Buffy leaped into into a portal between these two stories? Cordy a slayer as a result. Seeing that the Vengeance Demon has come afoul of politics is a fun read.

Glad you picked up a few clues. Not giving anything away as yet, but note that DiNozzo is terrified of Cordy, not Buffy...
