good start enough to make me curious how it will go further. Dawns power is the key and the magic that it holds and Buffy is the Slayer, her own power(inner strenght) and the magic that all Slayers have. Buffy can guard her power so if I'm right Buffy is more power full than they can detect on her am I right. It has to be otherwise Padma would never called her. Dawn never learned to guard her power so is easier to read. maybe Buffy should teach Dawn how to guard herself.
Joe B has written a much welcomed update that I enjoyed (a lot)!! I'm eager to see if Buffy and Dawn might change their minds (I suspect Dawn might choose yes ahead of Buffy).

Looks like Buffy from season 5 is not too keen on joining the Jedi either :) I hope she keeps their contact details though for when she does need some new friends. Now all she needs to do is recognise the Sith when they come for her and Dawn. Can she sense Palpatine when all the Jedi could not?

I liked the "someone walking across my grave" comment- it will be interesting to see how the girls do without Anakin (Guy in Black) in the room. And if Amidala will have had any kind of same reaction? The twist with Dawn being included in the portal was pretty neat, but the columns were kinda weird (and hopefully not the omen that I think they are). Keep it up!
