I love this story. I've always believed that Connor and Dawn were Buffy and Angel's kids. It made for a better story. The only reason I gave it a 9 instead of a 10 was because it ain't long enough. I think that you could make it a lot longer and it would be a lot better, but it was very good.

Marriage law fics are something I have always detested, mainly due to the characters habit of just accepting it, which for someone like Buffy, or Willow, in the Buffy universe, (or in the Harry Potter universe a character like Hermione just blindly accepting it) seems utterly ridiculous. Although I enjoyed the subversion, I think I prefer the concept of them telling the British Ministry to 'go to hell' or something to similar effect seems more in keeping with the characters, or subverting it to an extreme marrying Ginny (the law specify's pureblood its not Buffy's fault they failed to specify Gender).

Really you don't think the a Scooby way of handling things by B.S'ing your way through the laws and using technicalities? Besides who says that Angel would stay, it would just be legally they were married. Kind of a nah nah thing.

An interesting but unrealistic way to deal with the situation. Buffy could simply go back to the US, who's going to force her to marry there, no country is going to accept a foreign power operating on their territory. If that doesn't work she could seek political asylum in Germany, France, Italy... any country where forced weddings are prohibited. If that still doesn't work the Watcher's Council is an important force in the supernatural world, it could use its influence, maybe by not extending its protection against vampires to wizards. Not to mention that Giles is both a citizen of magical and muggle Britain, he is probably on first name basis with the PM and the Queen, the wizarding world making laws harming normal citizens is not going to turn well for them. Likewise imposing absurd British laws to American citizens is not going to sit well, what happens when the US wizarding gvt decides to cut ties with the British Ministry?
Sorry for my rant, but when reading the summary I was really hoping for a marriage law fic that did not end up with a marriage.

That's okay this is mainly my own personal jab at the challenge that the scoobs for some reason decide not to fight the law and suddenly find their true love after two chapters and by the 4th are jumping into bed with the person. This way she technically avoided the marrying aspect. Besides who says they have to stay together why can't Angel leave town the next day after the court show? Its just that technically they're married by the old magic laws.
Ok this is a 10/10. Not a fan of Buffy and Angel but this so works and it is funny as hell. Love to seem more with them trying to force the others into weddings lol.

Loved it! Great job! My only issue was that you basically explained the whole story in your A/N at the beginning, so there was no surprise to it. Still, I enjoyed it. :)

I've always thought that there wasn't a whole lot wrong with the HP-verse Wizarding World that couldn't be solved with the application of several small tactical nuclear bombs. Their behavior here certainly confirms my genenal opinion of them...
