Your characterisation of Buffy and Mace is perfect; your idea of the 'match the lightsabre with the Jedi' test is both intriguing and very fitting (it just plain sounds like something that really WOULD be part of Jedi training); and the twist at the end gave me something to chuckle about. Too, you were very successful in conveying Buffy's endearing enthusiasm for chances to try out nice new shiny sharp weapons that have caught her attention and imagination, which is a key ingredient to what makes this 'fic such a pleasure to read.
