Review of chapter "The Devil's in The Details" from BrownFinderth
No, I didn't like reading it. Yet, I did, hoping it'd end up otherwise. Good writing by the author.

"Smile" I understand completely. The movie about drove me bonkers, and this was the result.

Well done.

Sad, but somehow ... relieving.

Comments from author:
Thank you. The movie intrigued me and I wanted to play around with the premise it created.

These stories were awesome. I like the idea you went with and can't wait to see if you write more.

Thanks, have several other ideas in the offing, just want to finish up Blood Red Ribbons before starting another one.

Review of chapter "The Devil's in The Details" from RevDorothyL
Very moving! Nice that Graham and some of the other Initiative survivors circled the wagons around Buffy, at the end there, even if it was up to Cobb to do the main part.

But I still don't know what Buffy and Cobb were talking about, when he asked 'how many times did it happen?' What WAS the 'detail', or whatever, that Cobb found from reading between the lines of Buffy's diaries? Was that revealed somewhere in there, and I missed it?
Comments from author:
It was hinted at by Buffy that she had more near death experiences than anyone knew about. It was only that the Slayer lay in wait for her each time this happened. She fought to come back unsure what the First Slayer would do to her friends.

Review of chapter "The Devil's in The Details" from draconis
Story definitely kept my attention, but ending did leave me confused.

My interpretation was that now the First Slayer had been defeated, Buffy could now go on with her life unfettered by her responsibilities. Nothing would try to "pull her back". Result...she could let go and move on without any guilt.

But, you also wrote that without Cobb's help she would have lost this same battle but ALSO physically died. At least, that's the way it seemed to me.

Either way it seems, she would die and move on...

So exactly what difference did Cobbs make to the final result? What was the point of interfering in the process? Especially when I also can't help but think this would cause more problems than it fixed for those left behind. It would have the opposite effect Giles desired. The Scoobies would blame Cobbs (and therefore Giles) because they wouldn't accept that it was simple coincidence Buffy finally died while Cobbs was doing his thing.

thank you, sorry for not responding sooner, RL seems to get away from me at times. I really do appreciate you reading and reviewing my stories.

It was kinda twofold. She couldn't move on until she defeated the First Slayer, and until someone decided to let her go. These two things had to happen for Buffy to find peace.

I think that it's absolutely excellent. The only thing that I'm sad about is that there's only one more part the story. I'd love to see Buffy/Cobb evolve more. :o)
Comments from author:
Thank you. Hopefully, you'll enjoy the second portion enough to make up for it though. *smile*
