Review of chapter "Murder Most Foul" from (Current Donor)Speakertocustomers
Review:
The only Anita-verse story anyone has ever written that was worth reading. A million times better than the books written by the appalling author. Please write a sequel in which Buffy and Faith (possibly assisted by Blade) exterminate all the Anita-verse vampires down to the last fledgling and finish off by tossing Anita into a wood-chipper.

i would really love to see another one-shot showing the aftermath of this; whether xander was proved right, to the detriment of others, or if he was a relic from the past, way past his expiration date?

Review:
i would prefer to believe the latter and would love to see what became of the world after the last true Champion was taken out and his words proved true, especially Anita's reactions and thoughts. how she was forced to watch as the world burned--maybe she was even visited by visions, courtesy of the PTB, of what is to come and urging her to stop it before it really is too late...

you should write a sequel to this. maybe from the point of view of anita or his attorney. maybe as he is waiting for his death to be carried out the vamps finally make there move and atk humanity or something.

Review:
Alexander merely arched his brow in a way that made everyone feel that he was addressing a child. “A vampire is, by its very definition, a demonic essence that inhabits an animated corpse.

This line establishes that vampires in this story are the demonic BTVS type.

He should have put a whallop of a curse on Anita, stripping her of her powers, and having her be haunted by all of the slayers who came before. As well as all of the victims of vampires that her precious lover robbed of their lives.

I would love to see a sequel to this maybe about the scoobies actions are maybe something that shows vampires true nature before or after he dies
Comments from author:
Alas, someone else will have to handle that. My grasp of Anita Blake is very tenuous... ;)

I would love to see a sequel to this. Maybe about him escaping or something. Or what happens when he dies. Or maybe him somehow showing the people the vamps real faces.
Comments from author:
I'm glad you like it, but I do not intend to write a sequel to this one. The future is always in motion, so I may change my mind, but don't count on it... ;)

Review:
Interesting idea, though I think knowing the laws as they were Xander was a bit to blatant in his attacks. Frankly he should of adopted long distance strikes, bombs and other methods to take out vampires. As much as the law protects vampires in the Blake world it also does make them big targets since most of them no longer bother to hide. It wouldn't taken more than a high powered bomb equal to the one used on the sunnydale mayor to blow up the Circus of the Damned and get many if not all the vampires at once.

While all nobel his refusal to try get off on a techinicality or something also stinks. He kept his pride but let the enemy win by refusing to continue the fight like he could if he was free. But yes the Anita blake world is VERY dark. Think about it vampires live a long time, have tons of money can offer 'imortality' to old rich men who fear death and also have rather impressive mental abilities. Abilities they use so much that they kill or enslave any human proven to resist them as a threat, all under the table of course.

Trying tell me any govermental body, jurry trial or vote would be fair when the vampires can just tell the unresisting humans what to do? The jury in the trial was also rigged in that it had 4 vampires that could control the others, 4 were creatures who are almost always in service of a vampire lord, and then four humans who could be bribed, controlled or scarred into voting against Xander. Might even be delusional enough to believe the hype.

A nice sequal to this idea would be having that crazy hunter guy in the Blake-verse, a name whom I forget, break Xander out of jail before hie excution. Perhaps even have xander be a man in some massive anti vampire orginzation. Though I do think something should been done about Anita Blake.

I don't think she's beyond redemption. If you think about it in canon she was a pretty strong willed person who didn't take crap from any one at the start of the book series, but suspciously turned into the perfect attack dog for vampires as the series went on. Not to mention turned into a sex crazed manica that would sleep with anything that moves, living or dead. It wouldn't be a bad plot to have the very likely mental controlls put on her fade after Jean claude's death.

Review:
A part of me thinks the Council is still active here and would not let Xander hang like this for doing his job. It's entirely possible he could be exiting the Jail quietly with nobody the wiser after delivering his very public warning about the vamps.

Another part of me thinks this trial was missing character witnesses for the defense that would blow people's minds. Drusilla showing up to defend her "Kitten" and prove that vamps are still monsters comes to mind. Or Angel defending him. Hell I could even see Spike throwing in his two cents just because the Anita-verse seems too structured for him. Imagine a world where Spike had to get a job and pay taxes. Yeah, defending Xander pales in comparison to that.

Either way, I think that was a good ficlet. I liked the comparisons between Anita and Buffy you made and how that Anita ignoring her calling as a Slayer is what pissed Xander off.

I can definitely see Dru defending him. It makes for a hilarious mental image...
